微流道技術一直以來廣泛應用在生物晶片及生醫樣本檢測上,近年來藉由不同嶄新技術的整合,激發出許多跨域的創新醫療應用。
美國哈佛大學Wyss Institute之研究團隊以小型種(~5mm)的孔雀蜘蛛發想,研發出一種軟性機器人具有微米級(µm)的特徵,以12層彈性矽膠微流道堆疊而成的MORPH裝置(Microfluidic Origami for Reconfigurable Pneumatic/Hydraulic),運用流體流動使腳的結構產生似走動的動作,或注入光固化樹脂再以UV光照射來封閉管路而維持永久彎曲,此控制技術目前已發表在Advanced Materials,也許在不久的將來,此類整合型技術可以朝向協助完成醫療手術或運用在穿戴式裝置上。
