為了慶祝與海灣石油的再次結盟，麥拉倫不僅將在本週末F1摩納哥大獎賽替兩輛MCL35M戰車更換特別版塗裝，旗下客製化部門MSO更與荷蘭塗料商AkzoNobel合作，耗時20天以手工方式完成這輛身披Gulf橘藍雙色勁裝，並且配置橘色煞車卡鉗、橘色輪圈裝飾、Gulf商標裝飾頭枕，以及專屬配色方向盤的特製版720S。另外，針對符合MSO車主資格認定的VVIP，麥拉倫也將推出極限量海灣石油版720S供頂級玩家收藏。
