🤓📑Reviewing notes and textbooks
Do you go through old textbooks even though you're past the level? Sometimes it's a good idea to skim through old work and check to see if there's something you've forgotten or need refreshing in. This weekend I was reviewing a Japanese N3 Grammar textbook (even though I passed N3 two years ago). I feel like it's a little safety blanket before moving on to the N2 grammar textbook, just to make sure I'm covering all bases. ✌️
How about vocabulary review? After a lesson, I write all the new vocabulary on one page and leave it for a while. A few days later, I go back and write as many meanings as I can remember in one color pen (blue) in a column next to the words. If I don't remember, I leave it blank until I am done with the list. Then I take another color pen (pink) and fill in the meanings of the words I forgot. This way I am still engaging with my notes and getting some review in without redoing any past work. 🥳
