Video - Cheeky Twins
Early Morning eating Cookies - Haha
I used to be very strict on our kids eating sugary foods ...
When Bella was born at 3.6kg we were strict with her with no sweet drinks .
Until now she never like sweet drinks , ice cream or even chocolates . Only plain water ...
Tasha was born a tiny baby .
We felt it was okay for her to consume sweetened food but with limits . But am glad she's not sweet toothed either .
Adam & Noah are super active kids and we feel its okay to eat sweetened food but within limits.
My point - It's really upto us parents to decide what food our kids eat.
If we start our kids with sweetened drinks from an early age, surely they will forego milk and only eat sugary foods.
' You are what you eat ' - I always say ...
Its okay to be a chubby baby at 0-3 years old . They will soon shed their baby fats once they start walking and running about.
But if they are 4 years old and seeing them overweight and obese , drastic action need to be taken.
Stop sweetened drinks totally
Start outdoor activities or Sports
Take them to the park often
Lead an active life with your child
No chocolates or ice cream
Eat healthy food
Ideally its best to introduce all the above from birth.
Its all about habits and routine hoping they would continue doing so till they grow up.
The trend of obese Children are worrisome in our Country and I blame it on parents whom keep on feeding the child sebab ' sayang ' ,
unhealthy lifestyle or just lack of knowledge .
No pun intended
Just sharing
Good Morning Everyone
Love As Always
PS - I'm reminding myself as we speak ...
Noah has sweet tooth but Adam not
so.

We had so much fun at Tai Mei Tuk in Tai Po, Kowloon. This perfect autumn breezy day was buzzing with people and activities. Everyone was enjoying themselves in the sun whether they were cycling, windsurfing, boating, flying kites, or simply enjoying an alfresco BBQ, one could easily spend a day there.

Along Ting Kok Road what stood out the most was the number of restaurants, overlooking the reservoir area, each restaurant looks more inviting than the other.
𝟮. 𝗕𝗕𝗤
There are BBQ stalls which you could enjoy BBQ being served. If you prefer to cook your own food, fear not. Tai Mei Tuk has two beautiful BBQ areas in close proximity. There’s one right behind the main parking lot, and one behind the Bradbury Jockey Club.

Most of the areas in the New Territories have cycling tracks. The day we were at Tai Mei Tuk was perfect for cycling.
There are numerous cycle rental shops on Ting Kok Road. Apart from mountain bikes, rental shops also have cycles built for up to 4 people – perfect for a family like mine.

Tai Mei Tuk can either be your starting or ending point for a hike into the Plover Cove Country Park -over 11,000 acres, and truly scenic.
If you’re not much of a hiker, walk on the Plover Cove Reservoir. The road on top of the reservoir is a straight path 2 kilometres long. There’s space enough for everybody to fly their kite, cycle, run, or enjoy the scenery.

Chinese parks are quite a different sort of experience, other than being a place for people to try and sell off their sons and daughters for marriage to other families, it's the only place people are really able to go out and practice their kung fu, dancing, singing, musical instruments etc. Of course there are the regular activities such as having a picnic, hiking and playing sports (as well as some boating and fishing) available as well. Come and join Sasha and I as we get the low down on how Chinese parks work.
The primary goal of attending the marriage market is for parents to find a suitable partner for their child. The standards of finding the right match may be based upon (but not limited to) age, height, job, income, education, family values, Chinese zodiac sign, and personality. All of this information is written on a piece of paper, which is then hung upon long strings among other parents' advertisements for their children. The parents walk around chatting with other parents to see if there is a harmonious fit only after their children's standards are met.
Umbrellas used for advertising
Many parents do not have permission from their child to go to this event. It has been described as "match.com meets farmers' market" with a low success rate. In many parents' eyes, parent matchmaking gatherings such as the Marriage Market are the only way to uphold a traditional dating style for their children in modern China. China's long idealized tradition of continuing their family lineage is very important within Chinese culture. As the children of the One Child Policy start to become of typical marriage age, the so-called marriage "market" of China has wavered in stability, particularly for males in China. The University of Kent predicts that by the year 2020, 24 million men will be unmarried and unable to find a wife.
Recently, well-educated women in China with established careers are in less of a hurry to get married. They have more options than women in past generations and are not afraid to put their career first. This change in marriage ideology puts the women in a higher position of power within a traditionally male-dominated society. Now more women seek to find a responsible man with personal integrity instead of just a high paying job.
Many men's standards have changed with the progression of women's status in the work industry as well, they expect a woman that has been educated and well on her way to a career path. But what has drastically changed is the older generations viewpoint on the subject—they agree with the younger generation, with the two most important qualities in a wife being "elegance and a decent career path," quite a change from "diligence and the willingness to suffer the burden of life".
