Dear Asian NFs,
As we are getting closer to the 2021 Nations Cup Asian qualifier, I thought it would be useful to share the following update with you:
Following nations will participate in the upcoming qualifiers from Asia:
India
Taiwan (https://matchpokerfed.org/chinese-taipei-starts-2021-nations-cup-preparations/)
Hong Kong
Japan
Israel
Korea
Philippines
Singapore
Mongolia
Please see below the rules for the qualifiers and participation:
Each nation will be required to submit a squad of 6-10 athletes, including atleast one male and one female.
The minimum squad size is 6 and maximum 10.
The qualifier will be a single day event - anticipating about 6 hours of gameplay.
Ideally, we expect the team to come together to one central location to participate.
The NF will be responsible for appointing one ‘referee’ to oversee the proceedings, ensure no communication between team members while play is on and to help resolve any potential tech issues.
Teams must be wearing their national jerseys while participating.
Each participant will need 2 devices - one to connect to the video conference with his/her immediate table opponents, and a second device to play Match Poker from. A laptop and phone/tablet is perfect.
Each participant will need to have their audio and video on and connected at all times during gameplay (with headphones being used).
