Malaysian tak perlu visa untuk masuk ke Cuba. Cuma word “Malaysia” masih asing lagi bagi mereka so sebaik-baiknya print lah apa dokumen yang mengatakan kita no need visa to enter that country.
Currency, they have 2 currencies satu untuk tourist and satu untuk local. Better tukar siap siap di airport. Susah nak jumpa money changer di sana, they will direct you to the bank kalau nak tukar.
Kena beratur panjang kat luar bank. but actually boleh jer tukar kat kedai kedai area Old Havana. They don't favor USD. Kalau tukar USD to their currency dorang akan charge 10%. So better bawak Euro or CAD.
Makanan, they have so many seafood restaurant, cafes, bakery pula macam jual gold. Kalau nak tahu kenapa kenalah pergi.😂
Kalau nak masak atau kena bawa makanan dari Malaysia sebab ayam daging ikan telur semua tak ada kat supermarket. Dorang semua beli dari black market khabarnya. Safe atau tak? One of the safer country. You need to see it to believe.
People, they speak Spanish, they are humble, kind hearted people. Kat sana memang cantik pemandangan, buildings and Caribbean Sea. 48hours flight journey with a few transit memang berbaloi.
Internet, ni memang problem kat sana. Satu card internet cuma Cuba 2/3 dollar untuk satu jam internet tapi kadnya tak jual kat kedai biasa. Jangan harap hotel or cafe ada internet, a big NO. Internet cuma boleh diekses di park (taman) sahaja.

I was on the short flight MH0751 from Ho Chi Minh City flying back to KL on 15/8/18, a working trip with my four business partners.
After putting in my laptop bag in my designated overhead cabin, I settled in my seat on the 2nd row, minding my own business. One of my partners who sat behind me noticed a fellow passenger taking my bag which he brought to his seat on the 4th row. My partner alerted me to check on my bag and true enough it was gone.
I went to the man’s seat and caught him off guard going through my bag and his left hand holding some of my foreign notes currency (EURO and USD, which I am 100% sure are mine), looking like he was about to keep them in his pocket. I confronted him with the rest of my partners surrounding us. I did a thorough checking of my bag, because MY BIGGEST CONCERNS were my travelling documents (passport etc.) and whether he had implanted any illegal items, in an attempt to use me as his transporter (read: drug mule syndicate).
We then alerted the stewardess who was quick to take the necessary actions. Fortunately the man didn’t become aggressive and this all happened before take off (during the busy period of passengers boarding the flight). Security and police were called in, report was made, the pilot and crews declared the flight was not safe to take off until the man is taken off the flight.
He was then forced to depart off. Apparently, the crew informed us, there is a syndicate that has been conducting this modus operandi on China, Hong Kong and Vietnam flights. That guy was from Hong Kong and he is flying to KL with no return ticket, probably his route depends on his “loot”.
It was quite dramatic as so many things could have happened and gone wrong. Yet, the cabin crew handled it professionally, even though it was her first time experiencing it first hand (cabin crew are well aware of this type of crime). My biggest gratitude and respect to the Lead Stewardess, Ms Mazlinda of Malaysia Airlines for her unwavering calmness and diligent work in ensuring the man being handled accordingly. To the extent she offered herself to remain in Vietnam to make the police report on behalf of me. Luckily, all paperwork matters can be done in-flight and Alhamdulillah we took off safely after an hour delay. The crew managed to calm the other passengers well despite suspecting some of the other syndicate team-members are still there hiding in between them.
This syndicate is quite bold because once in-flight, there is no cctv footage as proof, and the conflict of which laws of the land should be applied as they're considered to be in international zone. I might be wrong on this as I myself am unsure what actions have been taken to-date. Oh, the syndicate will even play language barrier act to get away with this.
So everyone, please be careful of your belongings, and use extra safety tool i.e. bag lock, and do travel in groups when possible. Criminals are indeed everywhere even on air and they sure can afford business class!

Rayner: In today’s episode, I have a question from Zac, who asked, "Hey Rayner, how do you manage correlations in your trading?" So, before I talk about how I do it, I want to share with you two things about correlations that most traders don't quite get.
[00:00:30] Number one is this, correlations are always changing. If you look back in time, in the '08, '09 financial crisis, you will see that the stock markets are declining, going down, right? And if you look at the bond markets, it's actually going up. Because money is taken out of the stock markets, into the bond markets as a safe haven. So, that is why you have this negative correlation between the bonds and the stock markets.
But if you look at, let's say, recent times, you would notice that both the stock and bond markets are actually moving up in tandem. You can see that the correlation has changed over the last few years.
[00:01:00] So, that's the first point that I want to bring across, is that number one, correlations, they change over time. So what is correlated in the past, does not mean that the correlation will hold in the future, okay?
And number two is this, is that correlations can change depending on the timeframe you're looking at. Let's say, for example, you trade the FX markets, you know the Eurodollar, and pound dollar, and they appear to be correlated on a daily timeframe. But if you go down to, let's say, the lower timeframe, you might see that hey, they're actually negatively correlated.
[00:01:30] So, the second thing that I want to point out is that correlations also depend on the timeframe you're looking at. So that's two things that I want to bring across. So now to share with you, how do you manage correlations in a market? Let me share with you a few things that you can use. The first thing is, you can divide your risk accordingly.
[00:02:00] So, for example, let's say you are bullish on the Euro. You are thinking about buying either Euro Aussie or Euro New Zealand and you can't decide. What you can do is split your risk across this two currency pairs. For example, if you usually risk like 2% on each trade. Now what you can do is risk 1% on Euro Aussie and 1% on Euro New Zealand. Right? That's the first thing you can do. Split the risk.
[00:02:30] The second thing you can do is to, what I call, pick the strongest market to long and short the weakest market. So if for example, Euro Aussie and Euro New Zealand, you realize that Euro Aussie is a stronger currency to long compared to New Zealand, maybe because the moving rate is steeper or maybe because Euro Aussie is the first market that breaks out.
What you can do is, long the strongest and ignore the second tier currency pair. That's another way you can go about it.
[00:03:00] And the final thing to share is understanding the markets you're trading. For example, which markets are correlated, which are not correlated, how strong the correlation, how weak their correlation and stuff like that. It's really based on understanding the markets, watching the markets, and then knowing which are the different correlations out there because it's always changing as I've shared with you earlier. Understanding the markets would definitely help you as a trader, dealing with correlations.
