健脾益氣四神湯
《延禧攻略》熱播，大家對劇中人的飲食都甚感興趣，你或許聽過甚至飲過的四神湯，原來與乾隆有關。相傳乾隆下江南，四位大臣相繼病倒，有人提議用淮山、蓮子、芡實及茯神燉豬肚湯服用，結果藥到病除，於是四神湯就流傳下來。
根據中醫理論，淮山、蓮子、芡實及茯神都是健脾益氣的藥材，屬性平和，配搭不同食材都可以煲出可口又有益的湯水，一年四季都適合飲用。
健脾四公子：淮山、蓮子、芡實及茯神
五指毛桃四神湯
功效：行氣祛濕、健脾益氣
材料：紅蘿蔔2根、粟米2根、五指毛桃（乾品）80克、淮山15克、乾蓮子20克、芡實10克、茯神15克、蜜棗3枚
做法：
1. 把所有材料洗淨。
2. 鍋中加入約2500毫升水，放入全部材料，以武火煮至水滾，調文火煮約1.5小時，加鹽調味即成。
4 Divinity Soup to Strengthen the Spleen and Nourish Qi
A lot of people may be interested in diets of emperors and empress with the hit tv show- Story of Yan Xi Palace. You may have heard of the 4 divinity soup and it is actually related to Emperor QianLong. It is said that while he was on a southern visit, 4 of his ministers fell ill. Some suggested making pork stomach soup with Chinese yam, lotus seeds, fox nuts, and poria with hostwood. The soup was very effective, hence the name of 4 divinity soup.
Four ingredients to effectively strengthen spleen: Chinese yam, lotus seeds, fox nuts, poria with hostwood
4 divinity soup with hairy fig root
Effects: promote qi circulation and dispel dampness, strengthen the spleen and nourish qi
Ingredients: 2 carrots, 2 ears of corn, 80g dried hairy fig root, 15g Chinese yam, 20g dried lotus seeds, 10g fox nuts, 15g poria with hostwood, 3 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.

珍珠末安神又養顏
《延禧攻略》中愉貴人懷有身孕受驚，皇后送上珍珠末作安神養胎之用，卻被嘉嬪使人換成貝殼粉，企圖危害胎兒健康。根據中醫理論，珍珠具有鎮心安神作用，由於珍珠質地堅硬，需研磨至極細粉末才有效用。而貝殼粉是貝殼經高溫煅燒粉碎成的粉末，無毒可食用，但藥用價值不高。
珍珠 — 性寒，味甘鹹，具安神定驚，明目消翳，抗衰駐顏的作用，適用於神志不寧、心煩不寐、小兒夜啼、目赤紅腫者食用。在美容養顏方面亦功效顯著，據資料記載，慈禧太后每隔10天就要服用1銀匙高級珍珠粉以作美顏養生之用，亦可外敷作面膜用。要注意珍珠屬性寒涼，脾胃虛寒者不宜服用。
Pearl powder can calm the mind and nourish skin
One of the concubines on Story of Yan Xi Palace was pregnant and the queen gifted her with pearl powder to calm her mind and stabilize the pregnancy. However, a villain concubine changed it to conch meal in an attempt to harm the pregnancy. According to Chinese medicine theory, pearl powder can calm the mind, but since pearl is very hard and tough, it has to be grinded very finely to have any effects. Conch meal is powder made from cooking shell at very high temperature then breaking down into powder. It is not poisonous but does not have any healing effect.
Pearl- cold in nature, can calm the mind, improve vision, and act as anti-aging agent. It is suitable for those with anxiety, irritability, children with night terror, and red eyes. From a beauty perspective, its healing effects do stand out. According to historical references, Empress Dowager Cixi has a teaspoon of high quality powdered pearl every 10 days as well as using it as a facial mask. Note that pearl is cold in nature, those with asthenic spleen and stomach should not consume.
