［Networking without networking]
“How do I expand my network in the pandemic? Well, actually, even before covid, I didn’t go to networking events anyways.”
Last night when I was giving a speech, the question was raised. We all laughed, because we all know how draining networking is.
My answer was: leverage online resources, and strategize your efforts.
If you’re interested in building up your network in the industry, you can join online professional communities, share curated thoughts there, write your own blog, attend webinars… you can increase your visibility without actually seeing people.
Or, if you’re trying to impress your boss by the words from outside of the company, the target audience should be the people your boss may know.
