I love taking Layla outdoors, to see the trees, animals, new faces, make new friends, crawl on the grass, sit on the swing, breath in fresh air and just chill at the park.
We do it so often that I'm getting really good at preparing and packing food and snacks for her! Her favourite breakfast is mashed banana with Gerber Singapore]'s millet and quinoa oatmeal with dessicated coconut and walnut powder, or salmon porridge. For snacks, it'll never go wrong with an assortment box of Gerber Singapore]'s arrowroot biscuit, fig puffs and strawberry yogurt melt! And in another box will be blueberries. I'm not the kind of person that can eat the same thing all the time, i love varieties! Which is exactly how i pack for Layla too!
I make sure to always pack food or snacks that are made with no artificial flavours or sweeteners and are full of vitamins and minerals!

What are the colours of the rainbow?
Can you name them?
.
1. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes (if you find it difficult, try to keep your gaze soft/down).
2. Feel your breath, inhale through your nose, exhale slowly through your nose or mouth.
3. Can you feel your belly moving with your breath?
4. We will use our imagination, picture every thing I say with your eyes closed (or soft gaze).
5. Take a slow deep breath and imagine your body turning red: your eyes, nose, ears, face, arms… all your body is red and it feels nice and warm
6. On the next breath, your body is changing colour.
Your head is turning orange, arms and legs, chest and belly… all your body is orange and it makes you feel awesome
7. Take another slow and long breath.
This time, your body is turning yellow: your face, neck, shoulders, knees until your full body feels light and yellow
8. On the next breath your body is turning green like fresh green grass after a bit of rain.
9. Take another breath, allow your body to turn blue: your head, back, chest, belly, arms and legs.
You can feel your body slightly cooling down.
10. On the next breath, your eyes are turning indigo, a colour in between blue and violet: your smile, ears, neck, your whole body is covered in indigo.
What can you feel?
11. Take another breath and imagine your body changing colour again, this time your whole body is turning violet, a beautiful violet color, as beautiful as you are.
12. Now it’s time to let all the colours go from your body.
13. Imagine all the colours you have just seen: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet coming out from your heart and forming a beautiful rainbow over you
14. Take a few breaths picturing this beautiful rainbow that bring you feelings of lightness, peace and relaxation.
Can you feel it? (Pause for 10-30 seconds).
15. Take a slow breath and allow the rainbow go, but keep within you lightness, peace and relaxation
16. When you’re ready, make some small movements with your toes, fingers, neck and start opening your eyes.

Today marks the last day of my husband's 2 weeks leave. He's complaining that he didnt get to rest at all in this 2 weeks! I cant disagree. It is often more tiring looking after a child all day than going to work. Especially when it's her birthday week! I'm glad we had this 2 weeks though. It was tiring no doubt, but we had spent it so productively with lots of family activities! We are spent, but to see her grinning from ear to ear, and jumping with joy (literally) whenever we are out, makes it all worth it. That is what gives me strength and energy to wake up every morning and to plan the day for her.
Darling, have u forgotten that ,u married a very ON wife? Haha!
What I'm gonna miss the most is definitely our almost-daily picnic. It's nowhere fancy - just the park in front of our house. Eating nothing fancy - just different variety of oats that she eats every morning. While she eats her oats, I'll eat my BCM from the nearby coffeeshop, in a bowl no less(picnic with style Lol!). And @deon.woo will have his toast.
We will hang out at the park, play with her human friends and furry friends. She'll play ball or crawl around the grass patch with them. This morning @jojoleeyl and @kiaanvithal came by too for a short play!
Ah, simple pleasures. But so precious. I'll miss our mornings at the park together @deon.woo.

The second collaboration piece with @呉竹Kuretake , this time painted using their Kuretake Gansai Tambi 48 "顔彩耽美" colors set! This was an exciting challenge to try - I want to get better at painting trees and especially thick forest-like scenes like this one. This picture had only really light underdrawing and no lines.

- Waterford White 300g/m cold pressed paper.
This is also my entry to the #worldwatercolormonth2021 ! I will not be doing all the prompts, but let's say that this piece is for the "breathe" prompt.
We were recently able to go to a Japanese garden that's located really close to our house. It was temporarily closed due to the pandemic, but it opened when the stricter rules were lifted (now, if you want to go, you have to reserve a ticket - this prevents crowds.) On the day we went, it rained a lot in the morning - we had an excellent storm for the first time this summer - so the green of the plants was intensive! I took a lot of photos and tried my best to recreate this humid and green atmosphere.

雪糕涼粉,雜果涼粉
(父親節)
材料:
罐頭雜果825克(大)1罐
罐頭涼粉530克 1罐
Oreo 雪糕(細)1杯
程序:
1. 罐頭雜果及罐頭涼粉,預先冷凍。
2. 預先準備一個玻璃盤。
3. 打開雜果及涼粉,倒去涼粉罐內水分。
4. 涼粉,倒在玻璃盤內。
5. 戴上透明膠手套。
6. 涼粉,用生果刀切粒。
7. 從冰格取出雪糕。
8. 預備好甜品杯。
9. 雪糕,倒入杯內,加入涼粉粒及雜果粒,雪糕雜果涼粉完成。
10. 涼粉粒,放另一個杯內,加入雜果粒,雜果涼粉完成。
11. 可享用。
Ice~cream grass jelly and mixed fruit grass jelly
(Fathers' Day )
Ingredients:
Canned mixed fruit 825g (large) 1 can
Canned grass jelly 530g 1 can
Oreo ice~cream (small) 1 No.
Steps:
1. Put the cans into refrigerator.
2. Prepare a glass ware.
3. Open the cans. Pour the syrup away from the grass jelly.
4. Grass jelly, pour into the glass ware.
5. Wear a pair of transparent gloves.
6. Grass jelly, cut in cubes with a fruit knife.
7. Take the ice~cream from freezer.
8. Get dessert cups ready.
9. Ice~cream, put in the cup. Put grass jelly cubes and mixed fruit on top. Ice cream mixed fruit grass jelly, completes.
10. Grass jelly cubes, put in another cup. Put mixed fruit cubes on top. Mixed fruit grass jelly completes.
11. Serve.

We miss Penang food. So today we will bring you to Pulau Penang. But because Max doesn't eat fish and Dirk is on a vegan diet, so vegetarian then!
You will need to prepare mushroom broth as the base. I didnt have mushrooms, so I did not show u in the video. You can grind the mushroom to add thickness to the soup! Also I had too little chili in the soup. Be Brave, add more!
Ingredients for 4 to 5 servings :
For the actual Laksa paste -
. 5 fresh chillies if u like it spicy
. 12 shallots
. 2 stalks lemongrass
. 4 cloves garlic
. 1 small piece turmeric around 3cm size
. 1 small piece of fresh peeled galangal (or ginger) 4 to 5cm size
. 1 tablespoon vegan shrimp paste (or miso)
- Blend all that into a paste, then saute in hot oil for 8 to 10mins -
For The BROTH :
. 6 to 7 cups of water or Mushroom broth
. around 6 pieces of Asam Keping or tamarind paste 3 tbsp. brown sugar
. salt for tasting
. 1 tbsp soy sauce
. one or more rolls of cut vegetarian fish
- Boil all together with the sauteed paste -
For Garnishing:
. Daun kesum leaves/ asam leaves
. Fresh mint. thin sliced ginger flower and lemon grass
. Chopped or sliced pineapple
. Finely sliced red onions
. Vegetarian shrimp paste for tasting
. some cut lime . you can also add thin slices of lettuce
Last but not least, the Laksa noodles or thick vermicelli/Bihun noodles.
