唔好成日講搵工甜故,今日認真講下搵工。
1. 搵工第一件事,執CV
基本嘢英文文法唔好錯,最重要簡單整潔,大約一頁CV 就足夠,過長太boring。
關鍵字亦好重要。一般大公司都係CV 做關鍵字screening 先,之後才有HR review 你的CV。例如,你apply bank finance team,banking return. FRR 之類的關鍵字要見到,你先可以pass 到system 呢關。
即使你pass 到system 呢個關卡,但HR 都要review 好多CV,到底如何stand out 呢?
網上有CV 生成器,我用開cake resume 的CV 生成器,最少令你CV 比其他applicant 有d唔用嘅地方,增加成功機會。
2. Apply 工同send CV
宜家呢個時勢,如果你失業,就千萬不要挑剔,點為之挑剔呢? 就係你無興趣又睇唔起嘅工,你唔去apply。 你第一個反應問:「就算佢請我,我都唔會做,間公司咁細,人工又唔好,咁做咩要apply,浪費時間呢? 」
如果我同你講,時間從來唔會浪費呢?又如何?
Interview 要practice,practice makes perfect。In 得多你慢慢知道interviewer 會問咩問題,佢要嘅係咩人。至少你成日interview,你唔會好似第一次咁口震震呀。
更重要係如果你interview manager or assistant manager position,其實in 你嘅都係Financial controller or senior manager,佢地嘅時間就係金錢,但佢地竟然浪費時間去interview 你,即使係幾細嘅公司,每一次interview 都係一個學習嘅過程,它都令你下一次interview 做得更加好。
都係果句,盡可能send 更多CV 出去,即使不是你嘅專業,即使你只係做audit 狗,但都可以send CV 去apply investment manager,credit control,compliance或者其他financial service position。如果你連機會都唔俾自己,你點會搵到工。
當然send CV website 有LinkedIn, cpjobs, ctgoodjobs, jobsdb, efinancial。我最常用LinkedIn, ctgoodjobs 同jobsdb。
Jobsdb d job 係無咁好paid,但勝左apply 完真係有人review 你嘅cv,唔會好似其他website 咁次次apply 都石沉大海。 我朋友話一個job ads 係jobsdb 兩個鐘就有200 個applicants apply,簡單來說就係手快有,手慢連interview 機會都無。
我平時就下午12:30-14:00 搵工,去不同的website send CV,大約apply 10 份工先,到下午3-4 點去個coffee break,再apply 3 份工,之後放工再apply 多十幾份工。apply 工又無成本,都係1 click apply,點解唔俾個機會自己呢?
3. Interview preparation
基本要預備以下問題:
「點解對我地position 有興趣?」
「你以前份工遇到最大困難係咩?」
「你個experience 唔夠,你覺得我地公司點解要㨂你?」
「做manager 你覺得最重要係咩skills?」
「你career path 係咩?Short term 同long term goal 係咩?」
呢啲基本question 自然要諗好點答,點樣可以用你過去experience 去貢獻到間公司。
In case 你真係轉field,又真係對新position 一啲認識都無,你show 到一個can do attitude 又係另一個致勝關鍵。畢竟要學識又唔係難事,難就難在佢唔俾機會你。當然,就算你demonstrate 到你有can do attitude,你都要有一定soft skills (eg. people management skills, project management skills, communication skill等等) 的配合,唔係都無用。
4. 如果interview 又失敗,點算好呢
每一次失敗,都要反醒你interview 失敗的原因,唔好成日歸咎於你係呢行唔夠經驗。因為佢地係scan 過你CV先interview 你,但就算佢知你唔夠經驗都肯in 你,代表佢都肯俾個機會你。當然宜家疫市,經驗充足一定佔優,但interview 得總係有機會嘅。
最好每次失敗都想想,你係咪答得唔好呢?又或者面部表情做得唔好?
Interview 係一個market 自己嘅過程, 就係包裝自己再將自己賣出去。如果你都唔相信自己做得到,interviewer 又點會相信你呢?
我會建議每次interview 前對住塊鏡催眠一下自己:
「我有信心,我係你地想請嘅人」
「我有信心即使我經歷唔夠,但我可以憑住我的soft skills 同can do attitude 好快學識。」
「我有信心,係咁多applicant 入面,我係最適合的一個。」
不要取笑這個催眠過程,如果你連自己都唔信自己,難道你要求你interviewer 要相信你有能力去帶領佢地嘅部門嗎?
你要令佢地無猶豫咁請你,靠嘅並唔係你有幾多經驗,而係靠你market 自己的能力。
當然搵工係靠運氣,但就算你有運氣又有機會,你又可唔可以把握到個機會呢? 呢個就睇你market 自己嘅能力。
簡單、清晰、令interviewer請你沒有一點猶豫。

我向宇宙許願:希望我身邊優秀、符合公司需求的讀者來我的身邊,當我的同事:)
我人生中換過幾次工作,有過幾個上司跟老闆。
帶領我進入B2B sales業務領域的上司同時也是我的mentor,我們一起連續在兩份工作合作,現在是很好的朋友,我無法想像我的B2B sales生涯中前期沒有她要怎麼辦。
你們所看到我會的這些技能:簡報(presentation)、陌生開發(cold call),甚至是對商業模式熱愛的啟發,都是因為她。
另外一個更早期,是啟發我成為一個自信的人,他在我最低潮最懷疑自己的時候告訴我:
「如果你只是需要一個人同意與支持,你記得,無論我在不在,#我都是那個第一個會同意與支持你的人,沒有例外。」
這也是我為什麼每當有人很猶豫來找我,幾乎都可以從我這裡得到支持,因為,曾經我也是,曾經我也是非常需要別人的一個肯定的眼神。
他同時給予我很多基礎商務上的教導跟訓練,也很願意給我機會嘗試。
他曾經親自帶我商務旅行,一路上,他不厭其煩跟我說未來要注意的細節:如何挑選飛機的座位、如何在飯桌上表現得宜、如何準備一份有結構的簡報、如何應對、如何報帳,一些囉嗦的小細節,但十足受用。
他教導我:「如果你覺得一個人有任何不會的地方,他不是故意,他只是沒有人教,如同我教你了這麼多一樣。未來,你也要這樣。沒有人自願不會,他只是缺少一個學習的機會。」
這也是我為什麼會願意發自內心分享任何我知道的東西,因為我曾經受益於這位mentor的這樣分享。
我記得他離職的那天,我從公司一路哭到捷運站(我淚腺發達)。
其中,我有兩個很崇拜的老闆。
(我不知道你們會不會崇拜自己的老闆,因為我會XDDD)
而且我發現我崇拜的老闆都是創業家,我喜歡冷靜、沈穩、思維多元、卻又可以分析到位的老闆。
第一個最喜歡的老闆是91APP的董事長Steven,我的B2B sales skill在91APP有大幅度的躍進,那裡我同時有:
① 陌生開發(cold call)的挑戰機會
② 簡報(presentation)的上台機會(每次都是對CxO)
③ 帶領我前進的mentor
④ 每次聽他簡報都覺得又學到新東西的大主管 - Ed副總
因為這麼棒的環境下,是一段痛苦又享受的日子。
我記得每週一我們都需要跟Steven做業務報告,我每週日都緊張到不行,每次都從週日早上10點就開始準備,直到我週一上捷運還在準備,我真的沒在蓋,緊張到爆炸。
那你們知道我報告多久嗎?
一分鐘。
哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈,不要笑,很嚴肅,下面可是坐一排高管耶哈哈哈哈哈哈,為了一分鐘的報告準備一整天,很值得。
我現在想還是覺得我會緊張。
Steven話很少。
後來,91APP有一個很有趣的月度活動,我非常非常喜歡,就是大家可以對公司提問,然後總經理跟董事長會約一個時間,親自回覆。
我超愛這個活動,他們超認真回答所有的問題,公司的方向、主管的任用(對,有人提問xDD)、產品規劃、客戶合作、行銷走向等等,任何任何任何,每一題他們都鉅細靡遺的回答。
如果你們覺得我對你們的任何問題(不管是line群組、直播、信件)都認真回覆,那是因為 #我尊敬的老闆也是這樣做,他們是我的role model。
我在這樣的一次一次的月度活動裡面,透過Steven一次又一次的分享,深深被圈粉。(這我在職當然是沒有跟Steven說啦xDDD)
還記得我曾經推薦過我很喜歡的《微信之父張小龍》嗎?就是我參加這個活動,我舉手搶答Steven提問的問題獲得的。(我真的是坐第一排舉手搶答,我實在太想要近距離與偶像接觸了xDDD)
我沒想到,他那時推薦的一本書,我會如此喜愛,而且我深受影響。(好想要Steven的書單啊xDDD)
我離職的時候,我曾經發過文說過,儘管我離職,我還是很喜歡91APP,我是帶著滿滿的感謝離開91APP的,真心喜歡,喜歡高階主管都是有內涵、有實戰經驗的人。(天啊,很像在業配,但我沒有,因為業配在下面xDDD)
第二個喜歡的老闆,是我現在公司(17life)的董事長-Elton。
(#我們跟17live沒有關係 xDDD)
首先,寫到這裡,各位可以注意到一件事情,就是我是一個在選人跟選公司之間,選擇「人」的那個,
因為,#我所有的行為跟習慣都是受我身邊的人影響,他們對我的影響是潛移默化的,#有好的典範我才可以進步神速,我們不需要跟很多人學習,#我們只需要跟對的而且厲害的人學習就好。
跟大家說一個小故事,我之所以決定進入17life,是因為我在final interview的時候,跟Elton談了兩個小時。
他們說,Elton從沒面試兩個小時過。
那是因為我們在裡面聊了很多我看過的書,我的邏輯思維,關於富蘭克林、張小龍、中文系、文學、不同學說、我過去打案子的經驗、困難、如何克服。
他也分享了很多他在業界的看法,我自己是扎扎實實陌生開發超過100家品牌的人,我知道那些品牌、那些人,能夠直接這麼正面的對話(就是你不需要前面還要說明),我覺得我有無比的享受。
而且,他擁有比我更多維度的思維:AI、腦神經科學、系統整合、UIUX設計等,說不完,真的說不完。
如果你要快樂享受的工作,你必須對你的工作有想像、有期待,我在面試的時候,我發現,我在這裡有。
光是和這樣的老闆在同一間公司,就是我覺得很值得期待的。
我一出來,我傳簡訊給我的mentor,我說,#我就想要來這家公司上班了。
每次Elton跟大家分享過去一個月公司的成果或是未來公司的方向的時候,我都還是跟在面試的時候一樣,是那樣期待,並且覺得自己做的事情很有價值,而且很厲害。
我上次跟Elton一起去拜訪客戶,寫滿了大概10頁筆記,滿滿的金句。(好啦,我有好好寫會議重點,還是有很認真的會議記錄xDDD)
但是,#你會在你尊敬的人身上學到更多,從很多小細節、放到你的內心。
我最喜歡他說:「#很多事情不難只是很煩,#只要解決很煩的事情就是一種價值。」
還有「#很多事情先是看不懂,#然後看不起,#最後追不上。」
很多很多話,我都深深保存。
我不是一個會輕易會幫自己公司寫介紹文的人,倒不是我不想公開我在哪裡上班(畢竟我的LinkedIn都有xDDD)
是我想要低調,我很享受這種低調的生活,我也不喜歡被打亂,我想你們知道的。(他們也不知道我會發粉絲團徵才xDDD)
但是,我們目前在大力徵才當中,我所談進來的案子,需要技術跟PM來執行,哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈,所以我需要同事。

我headhunt公司有一個部門好特別,佢哋唔係負責hunt人,而係負責train人再搵工。
當年花咗好長時間了解佢哋做緊乜?首先佢哋唔係你行埋嚟話想上training就有得上,全部係接公司客,舉個例:A公司裁員幾十人,因為老闆希望呢班做咗好多年嘅伙計可以快啲搵到新工作,又知道佢哋好耐冇搵工,可能連Linkedin都唔識用,CV都唔識打,所以就畀錢我哋公司呢個department,由一班唔同範疇嘅導師去教授最正確同最update嘅搵工見工技巧。
記得我曾經同呢個department一位男同事講過:「其實你哋會食屎㗎喎!香港地有幾多公司肯裁員之後再畀一大嚿錢出嚟,幫成班舊人再培訓去重投職場?」
佢答我:「係㗎!所以我哋搵客絕對唔易,首先間公司唔會係細,財政上負擔得起呢筆training fee,另外,就算係大公司,都唔係間間肯裁員之後再花錢去幫舊伙計搵工,好多裁員之後賠一嚿錢就結束賓主關係。」
辦公室日報之前打算搞training course去幫有需要嘅人,唔涉及搵工,純粹想train大家搵工同埋interview嘅skill,仲約咗兩位資深嘅人出嚟食過飯,希望邀請佢哋做導師,但及後撞正疫情,租場地唔順利,希望之後可以搞返啦,費用會係全免,我會用廣告費去支付導師同埋場地嘅錢,疫情嗱嗱臨完結啦唔該,一路延期真係好煩。
早排見到Airbnb裁員25%,疫情下全世界海量客戶cancel booking真係有數得計,不過佢哋CEO嗰封公開信,仲有對離職員工嘅support就贏盡掌聲,信中最後一句「I am truly sorry. Please know this is not your fault.」話咗畀員工聽,唔係你哋唔好,亦唔係你哋錯,而係公司的確面對好大困難。
Airbnb嘅支援仲包括股權、保險、職業生涯重新規劃,佢哋出咗個Airbnb名冊,幫離職嘅員工搵下一份工作,畀其他公司去查閱,又用咗唔同嘅團隊去幫呢班伙計搵臨時工同埋作出就業支援,甚至係轉行再培訓。
至於Airbnb 嘅遣散費就係14個星期嘅基本人工,與此同時,被裁員嘅人亦可以拎走公司畀佢哋用嘅蘋果電腦,原因係電腦對搵新工好重要,希望佢哋可以拎返屋企用。
裁員同失業冇人想,但係間公司肯作出以上支援,又或者一啲老闆冇Airbnb咁嘅條件,一樣肯出錢畀離職同事去training再搵工,其實真係好好,我冇咁好命水做過呢類公司,不過都希望其他人喺冇工開嘅時候有多啲back up。
