This month's #GirlbossChat with Wendy is a little bit more special - I got to chat AND PAINT with the talented, "Instafamous" portrait artist Fayfay to talk about her journey in becoming a full-time artist.
During the video, we got to talk about how she transitioned from an actuary and consulting background to becoming a full-time artist. She also shared with us how Instagram played a role in her success, and how the algorithm f*ed up her business model later. Lastly, she shared some tips for all you aspiring artists out there!
This episode is definitely something that takes a special place in my heart. Besides being constantly inspired by the artist with her random inspirational messages in between conversations, and learning to paint on a canvas from her; this is also the first #GirlbossChat with Wendy video that I recorded in a public setting.
It's a learning curve for me as I noticed that my gears are not ready for an interview like that. I sincerely apologize for the background white noise. I've tried my best to reduce it but it's still really dominant. Definitely getting some proper mics for my future interviews!
