Fwah, I got a surprise when I saw the first picture because the girls totally nailed their zombie poses while the rest of us, well, I guess we tried our best to be scary. Haha.
SpookyTown makes a comeback in KidZania Singapore and in this second edition, it's a Masquerade Hunt which promises lots of exciting fun for the little ones. They received a case file and were tasked to search for the town's missing Mayor Fabiola by picking up clues along the way. Our favourite activity was the Mansion which reminds us of the Haunted House last year but with the spook factor lowered - meaning it was all very kid-friendly and fun! They had to climb through small spaces and find the combination to a lock before they could escape out of the mansion and they were so excited when they did. Maybe we can start going to family-friendly escape rooms already, hor? That is something I definitely look forward to with the kids.
It's the first time we attempted a zombie get-up and I have to say it felt so special because the kids were the ones who helped draw the veins and fake blood for us. So fun! See my highlights for more. The hubby and I also took the opportunity to let our hair down, dress up and felt like kids once more. Haha. Hope that we can always be fun parents, no matter how old we get.
SpookyTown 2 takes place on 25-27 Oct, 1-2 Nov and 8-9 Nov from 6:30-10:00pm. Don't forget to dress up as the Best-Dressed family will walk away with some fantastic prizes. Have as much fun this Halloween as we did!
Thanks for having us at this fun family event, Touch PR and Events!

While imprisoned by Potiphar, Joseph got to know two prisoners who were locked up in there with him: Pharaoh’s chief cupbearer and chief baker who had both been jailed for offending Pharaoh.
The two prisoners dreamed a different dream on the same night which they did not knowing the meaning of.
Using his gift, Joseph interpreted their dreams for them, and it was revealed that the baker’s dream prophesied the baker’s own execution and the cupbearer’s dream prophesied the cupbearer’s pardon from Pharaoh.
Joseph in all friendliness requested for the cupbearer to make mention of him to Pharaoh so that he could be delivered from the dungeon.
It was a fair request—after all he was innocent of the crime which he had been charged, and he had just helped the chief cupbearer to interpret a dream.
However, the cupbearer totally forgot about Joseph after he was restored to his position—again Joseph was forgotten, and his goodness was taken for granted.
The cupbearer was not willing to save Joseph, neither did he have the power to (for he did not have that kind of influence with Pharaoh) and Joseph was completely innocent of the crime.
Many years later, at Golgotha, Jesus was crucified in the middle of two robbers who were also nailed to their own crosses.
One robber continually hurled insults at Jesus whereas the other robber repented, and placed his faith in Jesus:
“And he was saying, “Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” Jesus said to him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”” (LUKE 23:42-43 AMP)
This time, even though the robber is guilty of his crime, Jesus is both willing to save him and He has the power to save him.
The chief cupbearer, a mere man, did not remember Joseph, but Jesus, the God-Man assured the repentant robber that he would be remembered.
On top of giving the robber the gift of salvation, the robber’s confession of faith is forever recorded in God’s word for us all to read—his prayer to be remembered was answered exceedingly and abundantly above all he could think or imagine—we have such a good and generous God!
When Jesus says He will remember you, He doesn’t just think of you when He’s bored—He gives you realms of freedom from captivity and honors your faith in Him!
Dear brother or sister in Christ, don’t worry if people take advantage of you and then take you for granted.
Everything that we do, let us do it as an act of worship to our Lord Jesus.
For when we place all our trust and hope in Him, He always remembers us and we will never be put to shame.
Prayer for the Day:
Dear Abba Father, help us to center our trust in Jesus.
When we put our faith in man, we will inevitably be disappointed.
But when we put our faith in Jesus, our hope will always have a reward—for He is the Rewarder.
Heal our hearts from every hurt we have experienced and restore us, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!

【玳瑚師父客人見證】《非一般的餐會》
The Extraordinary Meal Session (English version below)
文 / 蔡豪華 Written by Louise Choy

First of all, I would like to thank Shifu Daihu for his kind and compassionate heart to allow me to attend such precious tea session with him. I am someone who does have misconception what chinese metaphysics is all about and go by the cookie cutter (meaning whatever the mass choose to follow to believe in, I will follow to believe). But after this tea session, it opens up my mind like a big parachute and shifting my heart to love all beings on earth e.g from tiniest ant to human and be mindful of our words and actions that can create cause and effect which eventually lead to health problems.
As mentioned, cancer is one of the common disease in Singapore and considered one of the most expensive disease to treat or cure e.g requires costly chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I have worked with cancer patients during university days and had witnessed cancer patients going through cancer treatments. The psychological and physical changes in a cancer patient is drastic and painful to watch. Sometimes, I teared silently to myself whenever I saw patient moaning and groaning in pain during chemotherapy. I told myself I wish I could do more for these people. Not forgetting, the financial and emotional stress put on their families can be too heavy and draining to bear. There also come to a point where doctors have exhausted their medical expertise and have done everything they could to save a cancer patient but still, there are no signs of cure or improvement.
So I wonder - Beside medical treatment, what else can be done to prevent or help a cancer patient? Well, the answer I have got over the years range from adopting a healthy lifestyle or genetics. Yes no doubt, a healthy lifestyle does play a part but what if someone who leads a healthy lifestyle, and still stricken with cancer? One of my relatives who doesn't smoke, jogs and exercises everyday. He eats healthily but in the end he was stricken with cancer. Also, his family has no history of cancer. Imagine seeing our shock expression when we came to know he has got cancer.
Well, the answer to prevent cancer goes beyond the surface of understanding of how our body works, scientific and medical way. But rather understanding of our home Fengshui, Bazi and our daily actions do play a part in cancer prevention. So last night, I found the answers and trust me, it took me awhile to digest the lessons given by Master Dai Hu, it was overwhelming but yet worthwhile for us to learn and pass the message to others who needs it.
Master Dai Hu not only covered the topics on cancer but also other health issues ranging from women and men health, stroke, heart disease and many more. One particular insight Master Daihu gave me was that something (a ghost) existed in my house which I wasn't aware of and he nailed it 100% with accuracy (I verified my house's history with my neighbour's maid) !
I followed the advice of Master Dai Hu and the mysterious noises from the movement of furniture and banging of the wall just disappeared without a trace.
I am so grateful that he pointed it out to me! I never regret coming down to attend his tea session and felt so blessed to know this down to earth and modest master.
Come and attend his next tea session if there is. Go to him with an open mind and with respect. Last but not the least, don't forget to spread love to your loved ones, strangers and even enemies once you leave the tea session. :)
