1 Uncle Arthur 愛老媽，因為老媽的手藝好。
2 Uncle Arthur 不愛莎莉，因為莎莉做的菜能鹹死賣鹽的。
3 Uncle Arthur 終究選擇了幸福的對象。
4 萬一莎莉的手藝比老媽還好，Uncle Arthur會選擇誰？選莎莉？馬滴不孝子。選擇老媽，馬滴，莎莉下了厚本上過藍帶，學費算誰的？
5 在這個故事裡沒寫到老媽的心情，老媽養兒子養到老，究竟是快樂或無奈？一年365天，每天2餐飯，她會不會很累？累到想拿棍子把兒子趕出去的地步？
6 Uncle Arthur 是個矛盾的故事，Uncle Arthur的矛盾、老媽的矛盾，只有一個犧牲者：莎莉。
