Isobel and I watched this Japanese documentary and the styling for this shoot inspired us to get this shot done with our little Lion 🦁 Ilon.

Since the MCO hit us, I’ve been more open to new ideas and suggestions.

So when my friends from @pigeon_malaysia heard about my concerns about Ilon’s heat rash and dry skin, they sent over their Momo (Peach Leaf) Skincare to try out and I wanted to model the products a little different from the usual “pose and smile with product” shot.

Because I’m already familiar with Pigeon products (they’re safe, made with stringent quality control and are of premium quality), PLUS I’m more and more open to new possibilities, I tried it out.

It is free from all the nasties - Paraben, alcohol, colouring agent and fragrance.

The lightweight lotion is safe for babies and adults and has a cooling effect to it. Initially, I thought it was shampoo as I’m so used to seeing lotion as milky white. Someone uses it after playing golf as it’s refreshing and cooling. I use it under my pits after breastfeeding and pumping with my Go Mini.

The foam wash doesn’t need to be bubbled, so I can just bathe Ilon (Isidore and Iman uses it too!) with one hand while the other hand holds Ilon safely.

Today is Day 1 using the lotion on Ilon’s heat rash. Someone used it on her kid and the rash went away Bt Day 3. Will keep you guys updated on Ilon’s progress.

@pigeon_malaysia invited me to emcee the launch of their Double Electric 𝐆𝗼𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 Breast Pump last year.

I was excited about it because one, I love Pigeon premium quality products as they are safe, and I’ve used them since Iman was a newborn

and two, it is Pigeon’s most portable and lightweight breast pump - (small just like the size of a hand phone) so I was curious and keen on knowing more.

Anyway, I met with the team discussing the launch details when Christine and Jed turns to me and asks me if I’m feeling okay.

I told them my runs to the john was probably due to food poisoning.

“Sure or not? Maybe you are pregnant lah?”

“CHOI guys! If I’m pregnant, which I doubt.... I want this 𝐆𝗼𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢”

I shrugged off their raised eyebrows and excited smiles.

“Aiyo ladies. Stop it lah!”

7 months later, I received a hamper from them with a message just short of saying “we told you so!”

Fine fine ladies.

You were right and I’m so glad too 🙏🏻💕🥰.

Lactation counsellors does not recommend mothers to use the breast pump at the initial stage, but when Ilon and I were admitted for jaundice and high blood pressure respectively, I was glad I had the 𝐆𝗼𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 with us prior to giving birth.

The doctor needed me to get some rest and I was advised to pump some milk so the nurse could feed Ilon during the night.

With just 2 proper sleeps, my blood pressure went down and it was a win for both Mama and Ilon as I felt so much better with adequate rest.

Happy mama makes happy children.

Pigeon Malaysia

I received a lovely Pigeon Hamper from Pigeon Malaysia and I thought I'd vlog the unboxing (with none other than Iman Daniella who INSISTED she must be there for the shoot).

Pigeon has been around for years and I started using their products about 10 years ago when I gave birth to Isobel. Of course, there are hundreds of other baby products in the market since Bel was born, but I decided to continue using their brand for baby Isidore when I found out about their new Pigeon Newborn Skincare series.
