去Napa Valley一定唔會錯過去Opus One酒莊打咭。這個由Mouton Rothschild加Robert Mondavi聯乘嘅酒莊，剩係個酒莊建築都換咗5個建築師先令兩位老細滿意，你可以想像到佢地對Opus One嘅要求有幾高，如何做一款優雅嘅美國Bordeaux blend。參觀咗佢嘅釀酒室及陳年室，同酒莊設計一様咁有型同簡約。首先去大廳試咗杯Opus One Overture 作開始，然後再邊參觀邊了解釀酒過程，最後係陳年室試咗2014年Opus One, 非常平衡而有層次，溫柔而帶紫花、黑莓、朱古力、烤烘等味，不像一般美國葡萄酒般爆，釀得十分細膩。
Gotta check out Opus One when u visit Napa Valley. It’s a joint venture between Mouton Rothschild & Robert Mondavi in creating a Bordeaux style wine with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery architecture has been changed for many times and changed 5 architects as well. U can tell how both bosses want to create a perfection for Opus One and it’s not hard to imagine how perfect they want their wine to be. Visited fermentation room and barrel cellar. The interior design is so minimal and chic, which is like the architecture. I started the journey with a glass of Opus One Overture at the meeting room and check out the wine production line while sipping Opus One 2014 at the barrel cellar. It’s balanced and complex with violet, blackberries, toasty, chocolate and silky tannins & good acidity. Unlike the normal US wine with more powerful structure, this Bordeaux blend is very elegant & precise.
