認識麻花捲怪獸是經由鼓手阿獸，初識是以一個優秀的攝影師的身分，善於捕捉樂團在舞台上最激烈的瞬間，記錄下彷彿都聽的到聲音的靜態畫面。知道他也有玩團時就覺得 一定是深知當下狀態的同類。

麻花捲怪獸新型態，最新狀態回歸更基本的配置，少了女聲和Keyboard，更直接而陽剛的表達，一聽下去就覺得這是個很"有在聽"的樂團，懂得欣賞和學習，吸收了國內外大團精華。創作風格有扣團的猛烈Emo團的情緒、Metal團的華麗。主唱情感豐富的旋律線的清腔和吉他手沉猛有力的吼腔，雙聲道的切換搭配得宜，主奏吉他的企圖心強烈，英雄式的帥氣Riff一副聽覺亮點捨我其誰的英姿！節奏吉他扎實的音牆和厚重BASS恰如其分的表現，撐起了飽滿的backing，其與鼓點的match，帶出了整體的律動感。不只是單純的重或是機械式的填滿，鼓手阿獸充滿氣勢的鼓擊從慢速的力度到衝刺的速度一顆顆都像是帶著感情的文字。

值得一聽的Post-hardcore團，首推第一首「拍謝啦，爸爸！」，重回2000年初，初聽The Used、Saosin等團的興奮和感動！ 太好了，慶幸這種東西還有人在玩著！
