Anyways, day 2 was in Sa Pa and the Cat Cat Village. Tourist spots for sure but we managed to see traditional wear and where they live. Not exactly traditional traditional but it was fun nonetheless. You can see each image for more context. It was extra cold at about 5-6 degrees and you can bet there were a bunch of tourist around. It was pretty difficult to walk around because it was really slippery. To top it off, it was raining as well. It was particularly difficult to snap candids of the locals because the minute they see you point their camera at them, they try to sell you something. But I think I managed to get some good ones with ample amount of story in them. All pictures were shot on the EOS R.

About the EOS R.
I mentioned about weight and the shutter noise in the previous album so you can check that post out for more details on that. Because it was really difficult to to snap candids, the camera had to be fast and accurate. Coming from the 5D Mark IV, I desperately missed the scroll wheel and joystick, at least, that's what I thought before trip. But what the R misses out on that, it replaces with absolute customisability. If you haven't seen the layout of the R, essentially all the buttons are on the right hand side with only the on/off on the left. It doesn't sound like much, but when you can control the ENTIRE camera with one hand, you never need to fumble around with buttons. I shot both photo/video and being able to have all the buttons at my fingertips without having to readjust is absolutely incredible. I got the shot faster switching between stills and video because of it. On top of that, you can customise each button to whatever you want and it even saves your settings separately for photo and video. The one thing with the Mark IV was that when you shot stills and video, they used the same settings making it difficult because whenever you switch one or the other, you'd have to fix all your settings. For a run and gun video/photographer, having the speed of convenience is more important than having the best specs. The R is really a camera that can do both very well. Thanks again Canon Malaysia for lending me the camera for this trip!

大部份滑鼠滾輪故障，如亂跳、亂跑或失效，都是內部的編碼器出現接觸不良導致的，更換新的編碼器就可解決問題。如手上沒有新的編碼器，可買接點清潔劑 (Contact Cleaner)，嘗試修復有關問題。
編碼器是有不同的高度，但一般是用11mm的，買時先量準尺寸才買啊，那個高度是六角孔中間至接觸電路板端的距離。
