EASY SARDINES/TUNA FRIED RICE
2 cups of day’s old rice
1 can of sardines/ tuna
5 shallots. sliced
3 cloves of garlic, sliced
1 tbsp of cili paste
Vegetable mix of choice
3 eggs
2 tbsp oyster sauce,
soy sauce and pepper to taste
1. In a wok, heat oil and sauter garlic, shallots and cili paste till fragrant.
2. Add in the vegetables and cook through till tender.
3. Add the sardines/ tuna. Stir in rice and season with oyster sauce, soy and pepper.
4. Push rice aside, scramble eggs and fold them into the fried rice.

Laksa recipe for people who are trapped and lazy, but still have the heart to eat the food that is will.
1. 1-2 can of sardines / Mackarel (any brand can)
2. Belacan
3. Big onions 1-2 pieces (if the one that is not holland is better. Sis Salleh isn't it, there's only Holland at home)
4. Cubes of Anchovies Essence 1 PC
5. Salt in taste
6. Asam Pieces (NOT AVAILABLE 😭 USING JAWA ASAM 1 tablespoons)
7. Paste of maggi stir-fried sambal (recommended) / Chili Grind Anywhere + Blend in melaka chili again if you want to be spicy

Ways... just do whatever it is hahaha. Estimated can be completed for 40 minutes. Sis Hazira is still a lot of other life goals want to be chased, not just to cook this season season. For example like doing good deeds, Tabata, watch Korean movies, and others 🤣 but please believe. This laksa was the last time I cooked it when I was near Uluru Australia hahahaha I want to say that ABC is easy to do. Do you think sis sis is cooking the feet, is it delicious or laksa? Hihihi. [TAIPEI - Mirawan (x ⭐️⭐️Florilege) 🤐]
之前聽到幾個可靠的評論這家西餐廳的菜很台所以一直沒有想來試。剛好碰到東京米二星亞洲五十大第五名餐廳Florilege的主廚來做四手,所以就勇敢試一次。
沒錯主廚的菜用的是本地身材為主,但我真的覺得沒有很大的台味風格。 但卻是每一道都有記憶點。
隨便說幾道比較突出的做例子:
鰻魚鵝肝的鵝肝其實是鵝肝醬,切得太厚了,吃下去完全蓋過鰻魚的味道,而且很膩有負擔。
不知是不是為了迎合本地客人口味,小牛胸線煎得偏熟邊位變硬,失去這食材應有的柔滑度。加上杏仁醬汁太重了,滿口只有杏仁粉味。
最深刻的非秋刀魚莫屬。對於大愛秋刀魚亮皮魚的我接受’魚’味已非一般人所能及,但這道專誠從日本運來的秋刀無論香氣味道都很重魚腥味,非常難忘。希望是今年整體秋刀品質不佳所致。
這裡地方確實不錯,景觀很美,實至實至名歸的打卡熱點。
Several reliable comments of this restaurant is that it’s style is too local hence I still yet to try until now. Given that 2019 Tokyo Michelin two star, Asia’s Top 50 No. 5 restaurant Florilege head chef Hiroyasu Kawate san is in town for a four hand crossover, I took the courage to visit the first time to try it out.
It’s true that most of the ingredients Chef Cheng’s used are local produce, but I really don’t find the style is of Taiwanese western. Yet for this menu, every single dish has its unforgettable glitch.
And I’ll use a few that really stood out as example.
The eel dish was described as eel with foie gras but in fact it’s just pate. And the pate was too thick which overtook the taste of the eel, not to mentioned the fattiness aftertaste.
The sweetbread was slightly over cooked resulted in the edges being too hard, giving in the softness texture of what this ingredients is supposed to be cooked. I suspect if this is an adjustment to cater for the palate of local clientele. The almond sauce was definitely too strong covering completely the freshness of the sweetbread.
The most unforgettable dish had to be the Sanma (or Pacific Saury). I loved Sanma, Saba, kohada, sardines or any kind of fish with shinny skin and my tolerance for ‘fish’ taste is already very high that not too many people can compare. But I have to say that the fragrance and taste of this dish was really ‘fishy’ and unforgettable. I hope it’s because it’s due to the unsatisfying quality of Sanma this season.
The venue though looks quite nice with good view, truly a place well worth for social media check ins.

Fusilli with Shirasu and Shimeji Mushrooms (Japanese Pasta Recipe)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 20min
Number of servings: 2~3
Ingredients:
250g (8.8oz) Fusilli pasta
200g (7oz) Shimeji Mushrooms
100g (3.5oz) Shirasu (whitebait)
1 tbsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. Mirin (sweet Sake)
salt and pepper
1 tbsp. toasted white sesame seeds
Kizaminori (shredded Nori seaweed sheet)
Shiso leaf strips
Directions:
1. Remove the tough base of Shimeji mushrooms and break into pieces.
2. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, cook Shimeji, and season with soy sauce and Mirin.
3. Cook the pasta according to your package.
4. Add the pasta into Shimeji mushrooms, add Shirasu (frozen is OK), then season with salt and pepper. Add some toasted white sesame seeds. You can add a dash of sesame oil to enhance the flavor ;) *Grated garlic paste can be added if you need garlic flavor for your pasta.
5. Serve in a dish, top with Kizaminori (shredded Nori seaweed sheet), and Shiso leaf strips if you like.

Kale
Avocado
Capsicum or Tomatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Zucchini
Quinoa
Chicken Tenderloins

Recipe 1 - Kale with Chicken
Stir fry the chopped capsicums with some oil, then add the kale, sweet potatoes/or your favourite vegetables. Chop up some avocado and add the chicken tenderoin. You can heat up your chicken tenderloins before serving.
Recipe 2 - Chicken with Sweet potatoes, Quinoa and capsicums
For this recipe. I like to readdress that my quinoa is cooked with some grass fed butter and salt. Sometimes I add herbs, hot sauce, or lemon. I change it up quite a bit. Quinoa is quite tasteless on its own so you'll need to season it!
Recipe 3 - Sardines with Zucchini Noodles
These sardines are cooked with tomato paste. I just add a bit of water to heat it up so its more saucy. Remember to add salt as well!
Recipe 4 - Quinoa Salad Bowl
You can use any proteins you like. Add all your favourite vegetables. Add some lemon juice, or balsamic vinegar, or oil. Make sure you add some sort of dressing! It will be quite plain without any dressings
Recipe 5 - Zucchini Noodles with Chicken.
I personally like to have this with pesto. You can just buy those from the groceries so you don't have to make them if you are a very busy person! If not you can try this avocado dressing.
I have half an avocado, a lemon, olive oil, salt and hot sauce in there. Just process it. You can add some herbs and nuts as well so it's even more tasty!
That's all the recipes. The ingredients are all really easy to prep. Those are my take to prepping my ingredients. You can make teriyaki chicken, or lemon and herb chicken. Change it up so you don't get bored!
