Còn từ giờ đến ngày đó thì tranh thủ có một người hàng xóm giỏi nấu nướng, nổi hứng chúng mình đã làm bánh củ cải Singapore (carrot cake) ăn. Chọn món này vì người hàng xóm cảm thấy thương bà bầu sau khi thấy bầu ở nhà cuồng chân, kêu rên đòi đi Singapore chơi. Người hàng xóm này cũng là người mà hôm trước cùng mình làm một mẻ bathbomb “nhà nấu” bá cháy bọ chét các bạn có nhớ không? Inspired by Singaporeans’ and his own love for curry and a simple good plate of carrot cake, the owner decided to marry the two elements to create a curry-infused carrot cake.

The Fried Carrot Cake With Prawn came with at least 5 pieces of the briny crustacean, lots of eggs, homemade radish cubes and a liberal sprinkling of chye poh. The aromatic spices provided a distinct fragrance to the savory plate, which also carried subtle notes of wok hei.

This old coffeeshop at Blk 21 Old Airport Road is where you will find breakfast for champions. One of popular stalls is Original Changi Ten Mile Fried Carrot Cake. 69-year-old Mr Quek Sio Tee and his family started selling carrot cakein the 1950s. I particularly enjoyed the black carrot cake.
