Part II/II: Of course, our donation drive would not have been possible without the amazing generousity of @thenurturingco @lovebambooloo. Founder David Ward saw our call and boy did he and his team deliver: sending 500 toilet rolls, 500 cans of water and 25l of hand sanitizer!
But the bulk containers were abit difficult to distribute, so we decided to do another drive to get clean upcycled bottles so that it can be redistributed for our migrant brothers to carry. We received almost 200+ bottles which was repacked before being sent out. In total, we garnered almost about $8,000 worth of supplies , products that fully went out to our beneficiaries.
Because the donation drive received outstanding response from our community, I was also able to portion supplies to Beyond Social Services, which disburses the aid to underprivileged families affected by the Covid crisis.
I will never forget the silent look of gratitude when the dorm workers came to pickup the supplies. While there is a language barrier, the universal language of compassion transcends it. So thank you again, for being the reason why we forge on and continue doing what we do❤️
