I came here for two things - jelly with an umbrella and the deep-fried steamed bun 炸饅頭 (look at the second photo 🤤). These are all my favourite when I was young (the umbrella only, not the jelly 🤣)
Looking for 💛 dim sum place in Kwun Tong? Here you go! The environment is very different from a traditional dim sum place - it is more like a Cha Chaan Teng. It is located on the first floor of a factory building, 10-minute walk from the Kwun Tong MTR station.
I like the deep-fried steamed bun (so good with the condensed milk) and Shrimp dumplings 蝦餃, but I have to say the shrimp dumplings are huge (same for Siu Mai 燒賣). My friend like the huge dumpling but I prefer the one in normal size 😅😅
We also had rice rolls, turnip cake and rice with chicken feet and spare ribs. A bit disappointed with the Shanghainese shengjian bao 上海生煎包😅 It is more like the Pork and cabbage bun 😭
The portion of dim sum is quite large. For shrimp dumplings and Siu Mai, there are only 2 in each steamer. Prefect for those who are going there alone.

These sweet-savoury, slightly sticky pork ribs form a quintessential Chinese dish. Hitting all the right umami, sweet and tangy notes, this Chinese Style Pork Ribs recipe boils down a rich marinade into a saucy concoction and air fries the pork ribs for an extra crisp texture.
Blending an incredible combination of flavours and crispy-yet-tender, fall off the bone textures, these braised pork ribs are sure to impress anyone.

1kg Pork spare ribs
2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
2 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Light soya sauce
1 tsp Dark soya sauce
2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
1 tsp 5 Spice powder
1 tsp White pepper
10g grated Ginger
2 cloves Grated garlic
2 tbsp Sugar
200ml Water
Garnish:
Roasted sesame seeds
Spring onions

味はトマトベースで、野菜はかぶがゴロゴロと、お肉はスペアリブを豪華に入れて柔らかく煮込んだ豪華なカレーです♪
旨味が全部凝縮され、ほっぺたが落ちてしまいそうです・・♡
ちょっとリッチで特別な日の料理に、ぜひ作ってみてくださいね!
スペアリブとトマトカレー
3~4人分
材料:
豚スペアリブ 500g
かぶ(茎を2cm残して4等分に切る) 3個
かぶの葉(2cm幅ざく切り) 1個分
しめじ(石づきをとてほぐす) 1パック
玉ねぎ(薄切り) 1個
おろしにんにく 小さじ1
おろししょうが 小さじ1
水 700ml
酒 50ml
サラダ油 大さじ2
カレー粉 大さじ2
(A)
ダイストマト缶 1/2缶
赤唐辛子 2本
砂糖 大さじ 1/2
塩 小さじ2
しょうゆ 小さじ1
ごはん 適量
作り方:
1.鍋にスペアリブ、水、酒を入れて強火にかける。沸騰してきたら弱火にし、アクを
取りながら30分ゆでる。ゆで汁を450ml とっておく。
2.鍋にサラダ油、おろしにんにく、おろししょうがを入れて弱火で炒める。香りが立
ってきたら玉ねぎを加え、きつね色になるまで中火で20分ほど炒める。
3.しめじとカレー粉を加えて中火で1分ほど炒めたら、(1) のゆで汁、スペアリブ、(A)
を加えて中火で煮る。沸騰して弱火にして、鍋の底を時々混ぜながら20分ほど煮る。
4.かぶを加えて、竹串がスッと通るまで弱火で20分ほど煮たら、カブの葉を加えてさっと煮る。塩(分量外)で味を調える。
5.器にごはんを盛り、(4)をかけたら、完成!

Spare Ribs and Turnip Tomato Curry
Servings:3~4 people
INGREDIENTS
500g Pork spare ribs
3 Turnip (cut into 4 equal parts, leaving 2 cm of stem)
1 Turnip leaf (2 cm wide chopped)
1 pack Shimeji mushrooms
1 Onion (thin slice)
1 teaspoon Grated garlic
1 teaspoon Grated ginger
700ml Water
50ml Sake l
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Curry powder
(A)
1/2 can Diced tomatoes
2 Red peppers
1/2 tablespoon Sugar
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Soy sauce
Appropriate amount of rice
PREPARATION
1. Put spare ribs, water and sake in a pot and heat over high heat. When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and remove the scum from the top, cook for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, strain and reserve 450ml of broth.
2. Put vegetable oil, grated garlic and grated ginger in a pan and fry over low heat. Add the onions and fry on medium heat for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
3. Add shimeji mushrooms and curry powder and cook on medium heat for about 1 minute, add the reserved broth from (1),the spare ribs, and (A) ingredients. Bring to a boil over low heat and simmer for about 20 minutes with occasional mixing of the bottom of the pan.
4. Add turnips and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes or until the turnips are cooked, then add the chopped turnip leaf and let it simmer for a short time. Season with salt.
5. Plate with rice and you are done, enjoy!

蓮藕炆排骨:
材料:
排骨1斤半
蓮藕1斤
蒜頭6粒
乾蔥頭6粒
辣椒仔2隻
芫荽1棵
調味料:
腐乳4磚
生抽1湯匙
黃豆醬1湯匙
冰糖2粒
處理:
1. 排骨,清水解凍。
2. 排骨解凍後,用鹽直接乸排骨10分鐘,去除雪味及腥味,及再加入少許鹹味。
3. 乾蔥頭及蒜頭皮,薑切片,辣椒切粒。
4. 蓮藕,洗淨,切去兩端,刨去表皮,洗淨 ,切一舊舊。
5. 排骨,清水沖乾淨,用廚紙索乾。
烹調:
1. 中火在鑊中燒熱3湯匙油。
2. 放乾蔥頭、蒜頭及薑片落鑊爆香。
3. 放排骨爆香1分鐘。
4. 放蓮藕爆香。
5. 加入黃豆醬及腐乳炒勻。
6. 加入冰糖。
7. 加入1茶匙生抽。
8. 加水蓋過肉面。
9. 滾起後,轉中慢火,繼續炆,炆30分鐘。
10. 已炆了30分鐘,上碟。
11. 放辣椒仔及芫荽,完成。
Braise pirk ribs with lotus root:
Ingredients:
Pork ribs 1 1/2 catty
Lotus root 1 catty
Ginger 10 slices
Garlics 6 Nos.
Shallots 6 Nos.
Red chili.2 Nos.
Coriander 1 No.
Seasoning:
Preserved bean curd 4 cubes
Light soya sauce 1 tbsp
Soy bean sauce 1 tbsp
Rock.sugar 2 cubes
Preparation:
1. Pork ribs, defrost with tap water.
2. Season pork ribs with cooking salt for 10 minutes to remove unpleasant smells and tastes and add some salty taste.
3. Peel the shallots and garlics. Slice the ginger and dice the red chili.
4. Rinse the lotus root. Cut both ends. Peel it. Rinse again. Cut into pieces.
5. Rinse pork ribs thoroughly and dry with kitchen towel.
Steps:
1. Heat up 3 tbsp oil at high flame in wok.
2. Put shallots, garlics and ginger into wok.
3. Put pork ribs, fry for 1 minute.
4. Put lotus root, fry for 1 minute.
5. Put soy bean sauce and preserved bean curd, fry well.
6. Put rock sugar.
7. Put 1 tsp lught soya sauce.
8. Add water just cover up pork ribs.
9. Turn to medium~low flame after boils up. Braise for 30 minutes.
10. Have alteady braised for 30 minutes. Put on plate.
11. Put red chili and coriander in top. Serve.
