จากข้อมูลของธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย จริงๆ แล้วเงินฝากในประเทศไทยรวมกันมีมากถึง 12.5 ล้านล้านบาท

ถ้าให้หารคนไทยทั้งหมด 68 ล้านคน ก็จะแปลว่าคนไทยมีเงินฝากเฉลี่ยคนละ 1.8 แสนบาท

แน่นอนว่า แต่ละคนมีเงินฝากมากน้อยแตกต่างกัน และคนไทยบางคนก็ยังไม่มีแม้กระทั่งบัญชีเงินฝาก

ถ้าถามต่อว่า ธนาคารไหนที่มีมูลค่าบริษัทมากที่สุดในตลาดหลักทรัพย์

คำตอบก็คือ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย ซึ่งมีมูลค่าบริษัท 5 แสนล้านบาท

ปัจจุบัน ธนาคารกสิกรไทยมีเงินรับฝากรวม 1.9 ล้านล้านบาท
ถ้าคิดแล้วก็ประมาณ 15% ของเงินรับฝากทั้งหมดในประเทศ

โดยแบ่งเป็นบัญชีประเภทออมทรัพย์ 1.4 ล้านล้านบาท
เงินฝากประจำ 4 แสนล้านบาท
และเงินฝากกระแสรายวัน 1 แสนล้านบาท

แล้วธนาคารเอาเงินรับฝากเราไปทำอะไร?

คำตอบก็คือให้คนอื่นกู้ หรือเรียกว่า ให้สินเชื่อ

โดยเงินให้สินเชื่อของกสิกรไทย จะแบ่งเป็น กลุ่มลูกค้าบุคคล 4.5 แสนล้านบาท และ กลุ่มลูกค้าธุรกิจ 1.3 ล้านล้านบาท เรียกได้ว่าเม็ดเงินของผู้กู้ส่วนใหญ่ของธนาคารก็คือบริษัทต่างๆ ไม่ใช่บุคคลธรรมดา..

โดยสินเชื่อแบ่งเป็นระยะสั้น (ไม่เกิน 1 ปี) 8 แสนล้านบาท
ส่วนที่เหลือคือ 1 ล้านล้านบาท จะเป็นสินเชื่อที่มีอายุมากกว่า 1 ปี

ถ้าถามว่าเงินสินเชื่อที่ปล่อยกู้ไป มีหนี้เสียบ้างไหม คำตอบก็คือ มีประมาณ 1.74%

สิ่งที่น่าสนใจก็คือ ธนาคารกสิกรไทยยังมีธุรกิจอื่นอีกนอกจากธนาคาร

ธุรกิจเหล่านั้นก็คือ
บริษัทหลักทรัพย์จัดการกองทุนกสิกรไทย โดยมีสินทรัพย์ภายใต้บริหารจัดการมากถึง 1.3 ล้านล้านบาท เรียกได้ว่าสินทรัพย์ลงทุนมีไม่แพ้เงินรับฝากเลยทีเดียว

สิ่งเหล่านี้ก็อาจจะสะท้อนถึงการออมเงินของคนที่เปลี่ยนไป แทนที่จะฝากเงินในธนาคาร ก็ปรับเปลี่ยนมาเป็นการลงทุนมากขึ้น

แล้วยังมีธุรกิจอะไรอีกที่อยู่ในเครือกสิกรไทย?
