Fans of the bullet train will appreciate the regional trains on the new shinkansen washi tape. There's the Hokuriku shinkansen that runs to Nagano & Kanazawa, the Tohoku shinkansen and our good friend the Tokkaido shinkansen on the popular route from Tokyo to Kyoto/Osaka.

I finally made my way to Osaka last Spring in search of the best Japanese food, entertainment and nature Japan can offer. 🍣 Osaka is only a short shinkansen ride from Tokyo, but has a very different personality to Japan's capital city. Check out my experience in Osaka! Link in my bio! 🇯🇵 #thelovetofly #thelovetoflyJapan #traveldetective

[ MAJOR SUSPENSION of public transportations throughout Central/Eastern Japan, esp. in Tokyo Met Region ]
As you might know, Typhoon No.19 (known internationally as "Hagibis") is heading north toward central and eastern Japan (inc. Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo, Sendai).
Bracing for one of the strongest typhoons hitting Japan in decades, ALL transportation services arriving from, departing to, or moving through those areas (air, land and sea) will be partially or completely suspended.
These measures are not unprecedented, however, scale of which clearly indicates its destructive power.
The messege from the Govt, Meteorological Agency, airliners, train operators are common and simple:
CHARGE your phones in advance, STAY INFORMED, STAY INDOORS/DON'T GO OUTSIDE for a day or two.
(You'll probably need some food and water, but it could be too late. Try getting them indoors or near by)

Things to do in Kanazawa, where you can see beautiful historic Japan, temples and shrines without the crowds of Kyoto.
Continuing my series about places from my Japan wishlist, where I'd most like to go in Japan, Kanazawa in Ishikawa prefecture's often known as little Kyoto. You can explore historic, preserved streets, see old houses, geisha and samurai districts, Japanese gardens, temples and shrines. In the video I share why I'd like to go there and how to get there on the train from Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya and on the Hokuriku shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo. There are lots of things to do: teahouses in Higashi Chaya, Kenrokuen garden, the castle park, Nagamachi the samurai district, Myoryuji (also known as Ninjadera, the ninja temple!), Utatsuyama Park, a sake brewery, kimono rental and where to get gold leaf ice cream. There are also ideas for day trips from Kanazawa around the Chubu region.

Jennifer took me to the JR Osaka Station Sakurabashi Gate. Here we are at the ramen restaurant next to Mcdonald on B1. The price here is so affordable and taste brilliant! Since Jennifer knows Japanese, let's go inside and see the menu. Very tempting even just look at the pictures. The signature dish here named Arauma Ramen.
Miso flavour or slightly spicy miso, Yum Yum!!!
