（思忖著父親節）我來台灣快10年了，由於距離太遠我爸至今沒能來看我。他的身體不好，加上飲食的問題，長途飛行對他來說將會是一場噩夢，所以我總是回到美國，從沒想過要他飛來台灣。不過，在他 2017 年再婚後，飛來台灣成為可能的事，兩個人一起旅行比一個人旅行容易多了，因此他們計劃拜訪我，並打算在去年三月第一次拜訪台灣。不幸的是，幾乎所有航班都在 2020 年春季取消，因此這次旅行並沒有成形，且可能不再有下一次機會......我昨晚和他談過，明年也許我可能會飛回美國，至少我們還能在美國團聚，他不再單單只是個父親，而是一個祖父，我哥哥已經生了兩個小孩，我還沒有見過他們，雖然現在仍然不是一個很好的旅遊時機，但我們希望明年疫情會好轉。
我想作為父親是一項艱鉅的工作。回想起來，我知道我沒有讓它變得容易。他大部分時間也是單親父親，在我母親去世 22 年後，他終於再婚了，非常恭喜他！我最後一次見到他，還是在這張四年前的他的婚禮上(照片中)。再過3天我父親將滿 70 歲，祝福我的爸爸和所有的爸爸，尤其是所有的單身爸爸，父親節快樂。

(Fathers Day Musings) I've been in Taiwan for almost 10 years now, but my dad has so far been unable to visit me here. He's in poor health and has a lot of food issues that make plane travel a logistical nightmare. So I always went back to the USA and never expected him to be able to come here. After he married in 2017 though, it became a real possibility. Traveling together is easier than traveling alone, so they made plans to visit me and had intended to arrive in Taiwan for the first time in March of last year. Basically all travel was cancelled in spring of 2020 though, so that trip didn't happen. And it looks like it might never happen... But I talked to him last night and it seems like I might be able to go to the USA next year, so at least theres that. He's not just a father anymore, but a grandfather. My brother has two kids now that I've never seen and while it's still a terrible time to travel, we can hope that next year will be better.
It's a hard job being a father I think. Looking back I know that I didn't make it easy. He was a single father for most of it too, but 22 years after my mother died he finally remarried. So congratulations to him. The last time I saw him was at his own wedding 4 years ago. He turns 70 in 3 days. So to all the Dad's out there and especially all the single dad's out there, Happy Fathers Days.

This footage is from December 2019. I met up with a few people that I got to know through twitch/discord. It was so much fun to hangout with everyone and I feel like I'll definitely see them again! I'm glad I got to make all these memories with them and it comes to show that you can meet genuine people on the internet (not just creepy people). But you should still be careful with meeting strangers of the internet! I always check a few things before I reach out to people to meet up so I can make sure that I'll be safe. I miss LA, I miss the people and I can't wait to plan a trip back there. Until then, I hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
