Visited the Ministry of Health, Singapore COVID-19 Case Management Task Group (CMTG) Operations Office yesterday. They administer the whole process for COVID-19 patients, from detection to recovery. This includes assigning patients to appropriate care facilities, arranging for transport, and briefing them on what they need to do, especially those who choose Home Recovery.
We now encourage fully vaccinated patients to recover at home wherever possible. This is less disruptive for them, especially if their symptoms are mild. It will also reduce demand for hospital beds, so that the seriously ill ones can get the treatment they need.
I know this is a stressful time for those with family members who have COVID-19. Some of you have written to me to express your frustrations, or question why MOH takes so long to get in touch after you or a loved one has tested positive.
The CMTG have a very demanding task. They operate 24/7 in a rapidly changing situation. Case numbers are still growing, and we are doing our best to scale up our operations, and make sure all patients are well cared for.
I would like to thank the CMTG for their dedication and tireless efforts. If we all work together, get vaccinated, and wear our masks properly, we can slow down the current wave, and get through safely without overwhelming our hospitals or suffering unnecessary casualties. – LHL

Young girls in Singapore today grow up in a world that their grandmothers could not have imagined when they themselves were children. Women’s standing in Singapore has improved greatly. But we still need to make more progress in the way men and women treat each other, and the sort of society we want to be. That was why we launched the Conversations on Singapore Women’s Development last year.
This morning, I met virtually with some of the partners and participants involved in this major undertaking, at the closing session of the Conversations.
I talked about three issues which came up repeatedly: equal opportunities at the workplace, caregiver support, and protection for women. They reflect our fundamental values of taking care of one another in society, giving every individual a fair shot at success, and ensuring everyone receives equal protection in Singapore.
All of us must play our part, to enable Singapore women to participate to the full. Together, let us work towards our vision of a fairer, more inclusive society, where our daughters and sons can thrive in a better age.

10 Lucky Winners will get My Favourite Oral Skincare from ORBIS Singapore] !✌
Honestly, I believe this is one of the reasons why wrinkles are or visible ageing is not on me (yet)🤪. Starting it's hard to tell if Orbis work for me because I do not have dry skin issues, but that doesn't mean I should ignore. Our ceramide levels will drop as we age. Ceramide helps to keep skin moisturised, reduced signs of ageing etc.
But I know it works when I did not apply my moisturizer for 1-2 days and my face doesn't show an obvious impact (like dull & drying look) on my skin compared to last time before I started using Orbis.
👇👇👇
And what's the main reason for me taking since there are so many brands out there. Because it works and it's the ONLY FOSHU-recognised oral skincare product by Japan. And now they have it in Muscat flavour, taste like ice grapes.
Together with ORBIS Singapore] , we are giving 10 trial set worth $17 to 10 lucky winners who really want to try this out, comment below and tag your beauty junkie friends (legit account, one in each comment).
Winners will have to collect Orbis Defencera in Yuzu flavour from @takashimayasg #B2.

A few years ago I spent 3 months learning Hungarian, took a very long break, and re-started learning Hungarian in October 2020. Here's my 8-month speaking progress update (after the 3 year break). I talk about why and how I learn Hungarian, how I balance my time, and in general how I learn languages. Press CC for English subtitles!
Csak 3 hónapig tanultam magyarul (2018), aztán hosszú szünetet tartottam. Most újraindítottam a magyar nyelvet, 2020 októberében. Itt van a 8 hónapos frissítésem.

The M.E. Series (The Millennial Experience). Created all on Mobile with #iPhone12ProMax
Weekend. Raining. Work had been hectic. Needed to take some time off to recharge. Covid. WFH. Blurred lines between work and personal time. No time to shut off from work completely. Found myself working from screens to screen. Laptop to phone. Even leisure is watching videos online.
In need of time for a digital detox.
Found a bookstore that was opened in Feb this year, in the heart of Orchard Road, Wheelock Place. Where the Borders flagship used to be. If you know what I’m talking about, you’re from my time. I recall the times when I was still in secondary school, hanging at Borders with my friends who love reading, and I will be there checking out the CDs.
Heard that it has a 2 storey space with a cafe and gallery as well. Heard that the ones in China open 24hours, although it’s not happening in SG yet
——
Zall Bookstore, an outlet with more than 30,000 books mostly in Chinese, also has a cafe and art gallery
——
“Ms Laura Yan Ge, 24, who is general manager of the Singapore store, said at a media preview on Friday that while the company did not anticipate the coronavirus outbreak erupting amid its expansion, it believes bookstores are especially vital during a pandemic.
‘Because of Covid-19, there is a lot of distance between people nowadays," she said in Mandarin. "We believe books will help to close this gap. They provide food for thought and people can use them to widen their worlds.’”
—
As a creator myself, I need to constantly find inspiration.
While I can readily find all sorts of information online, sometimes I found my mind being constantly overloaded instead. We read. Socialise. We basically live most parts of our lives in the virtual world, and now we have lesser and lesser reasons to get out there anymore.
So, why a new book store? When was the last time you visited a book store?
Being here made me realised that it’s not about the books. It’s about the space. It’s about the experience. It’s about being here and being present. And what happens when you unplug from the internet and be present in the moment? You’ll get involuntarily intrigued by the surroundings, the people, the architecture, the noise, the beauty of it all. You’ll find headspace. You’ll find your inspiration. You’ll even find a new you.
When was the last time you stepped outside, set aside time just for yourself, and experience life beyond the screen?
