カワサキ・ZRX（ゼットアールエックス）とは、川崎重工業が製造しているオートバイであり、シリーズ車種として排気量別に数車種がラインナップされている。
ZRX1200Rは2001年に発売された。この車両は1100のエンジン排気量を1164ccに拡大したものだが、1200はさらに低回転域のトルクを重視し、最高出力を 95ps/7,500rpmに抑え込んだためマイルドになったが、カワサキらしさがなく長年のカワサキファンからは惜しむ声も聞かれた。
基本的な車体構造は1100のものを受け継いでおり、。当初はハーフカウルの S 仕様も同時発売されたが、こちらの人気は芳しくなかったことから数年間で生産終了となった。その後も1200Rはカラーリングの変更のみで長年販売され続けていたが、2008年9月の自動車排出ガス規制強化により生産終了となった。
ヤマハ・XJR（エックスジェイアール）とは、ヤマハ発動機が製造販売している空冷エンジン搭載のネイキッドタイプのオートバイであり、シリーズ車種として排気量別に数車種が生産されている。通称ペケジェイアール、ペケジェイ。
XJR1300は1998年に発売されたXJR1200のフルモデルチェンジ版である。エンジンは同じく4ストローク空冷・並列4気筒であるものの総排気量は1250ccに増やされた。大型車両の堂々たる風格と中型車並の軽やかな操作性を併せ持ち、国内販売大型二輪車の中でも屈指の人気を保っている。なお、ブレーキキャリパーに安価なタイプを使用し、リアサスペンションの調整機構を一部省略した海外輸出仕様も存在する。国内販売モデルが100psなのに対し、こちらは106psの最高出力を発揮している。
