二十年前火車經過的時候，韶光就此停駐。火車往往連結人的記憶與時間，我們不能回到過去，但電影可以。謝惠菁新人執導、張作驥電影工作室製作《還記得的樣子》，充滿了張作驥一直處理的主題：魔幻的時間與記憶。姊姊芳婷患上阿茲海默症，還記得的家庭的樣子，便是一張全家福。全家福內獨欠一人，又見張作驥作品內常有的餐桌對話場面，芳婷問母親為何相片中的人變老；此時那個不在場的兄長，歸來到餐桌旁坐下——就像張作驥的經典《黑暗之光》一樣。
When the train passed by twenty years ago, time remained. Trains are always connected with memories and time. Memory, directed by Hsieh Hui-jing and produced by Chang Tso-chi Film Studio, inherits several themes in Chang’s work. Here memory takes the form of a magic realist space where Fong Ting, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, is curious about a family photo. She cannot figure out what her brother looks like. Where is her brother? The absent one in the family haunts everyone..In a dining scene frequently featured in Chang’s works, when Fong Ting asks her mother why her brother has become older in the photo, her brother is just returning home bringing with him bittersweet memories. Just like the ending scene of Chang’s classic Darkness and Light.
