2. Ran a vertical mile (1.60934km) ascending and descending at the stairs of Westin Hotel, Detroit, Michigan, USA in 1 Hour 38 minutes 5 seconds on 2 February 1982 by Brian McCauliff or Unknown 😅 - Breakable

3.Greatest Vertical Height Stair Climbing in 12 hours by Christian Reidl with a total vertical height of 13145.65 meters! - Most Challenging!

4. Greatest Vertical Height Stair Climbing in 24 hours by Kurt Hess with a total vertical height of 18585 meters. He did it by climbing up and down a 45 m Esterli Tower in Lenzburg, Switzerland (413 times) - Pretty challenging!

Creating New Record
1. Fastest on ascending a 40 floors, (20 steps per floor consists of 10 steps per flight, 800 steps), with a vertical height of 130m (based on my watch's altimeter and I need to measure it by measuring tape or confirm it with the developer on the accurate elevation) - my previous best time 3:48.5 min and I am aiming to finish it at 3:43.13 min (equivalent to 1 mile World Record by Hicham El Guerrouj) - Currently prepare for this.

Oceanside 比賽心得

高中時 我們的越野跑步教練建議我們看個電影 叫steve prefontaine. 他是一位美國 5000m 10000m 的田徑選手. 他有名並不是因為他跑最快 而是因為他每次跑步都會把自己推到極限. 很多田徑選手會整個比賽躲在後面避風 讓別人擋風帶配速 然後等到最後才衝個四百拿下第一. 但 prefontaine 比賽都是從頭冲到尾 把他的對手硬拉爆. 他是靠心戰和蠻力 不是靠他的天份或raw speed. 他的名言是 「To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.」意思是 如果你不全力以赴 那你就犧牲了上天給你的禮物. 他的精神激勵了美國所有的跑者 到現在只要提到他的名字 大家還是很尊敬他的精神. 我當然也被他影響. 覺得一個完美的比賽就是可以把自己從頭到尾推在極限 徘徊在崩潰邊緣的那條線上 堅持 113公里。

上週六Oceanside的比賽是我這十年最完美的比賽. 我一直都在追求一個比賽可以從頭到尾 游泳 騎車 跑步 都做到完美 把自己推到極限 維持四個鐘頭. 破四只是一個數字 給自己一個quantifiable 的目標. 其實重點是發揮一個對得起自己的比賽. 一下是每一项的细节：

游泳： 1.9km 26:21

這是我有史以來最快的游泳. 今年的swim course 是海灘起跑. 枪響了以後我們四十一個選手衝進海裡 直面一片片海浪. 我拼命想跟上一組人 但我拼死拼活的都沒用 只能看著那群人離我越來越遠. 我那時候叫自己不要慌 也不是第一次沒跟上 還有騎車和跑步. 因為pro 女生只有晚我們兩分鐘 我從一開始就一直在等她們追上我. 但過了20 分後 兩個男生人追上了我....過了兩分後還是沒人 也快看見游泳終點了 終於女生leader 來了是 holly lawrence 和 paula findlay 和憤怒鳥 我看了表 25 分多 哇 其實沒那麽慘！ 我突然有了很多信心. 當然也想 靠...接下來 還要把她們甩了...

騎車 90km 2:17:52

這次順利上車沒跌倒. 開始的時候很困難. 我那時候腿還沒醒 沒啥力 （其實一整天都TMD沒醒） 就尊重女生選手 讓前三名在我前面 也讓我躲在後面躲風. 憤怒鳥當然是最厲害 holly 和 Paula 一直跟不上 我就超越holly 和 Paula去追憤怒鳥 和前面其他的男選手. 但holly 和 paula 很機車 一直反超越我. 然後他們又跟不上憤怒鳥我又要再超一次. 這樣來來回回 好幾次 都踩到400-500 瓦 才能超她們 浪費了我許多體力. 沒辦法 終於過了16-18k以後只剩憤怒鳥 和一群男生. 裡面有個好手叫patrick brady跟我差不多水平. 他先衝到我們這一組的前面開始帶頭 我緊跟在後. 我的腿一直都沒有完全醒來 可能訓練還沒到位 還有前面跟holly 搞的我腿已經用了很多子彈. 我很想到前面幫幫patrick 帶群 但我真沒力 心跳一直在 155/160 極限上. 憤怒鳥 和其他的列車乘客也都躲在後面.

這個賽道坡又多又陡. 很多都得用最小檔 站起來拼命地踩才爬得上. 有些還先整你個一mile 的緩坡 再來個陡的搞你. 過了四五個這種大坡後 最後一段 patrick 丟下了我們 而我最後一段沒有坡了 保持150-152 的低心跳 和憤怒鳥輪流帶隊回到transition.

跑步： 1:15:32

我下車時就知道破四大概沒機會了 但我也不太在意. 只想專心跑個好半馬！

第一個mile 5:35 （3:29/開幕）我想嗯 好跡象 但是可能會死得很慘 還是放慢....也因為我需要上小號...那時候想「停下來上廁所會浪費至少一分鐘....不行！」 只能...你也知道的....我就把速度放慢到 5:45/mile 3:35/km的配速 開始專心用力....成功！ 結果大概尿了兩分鐘不停. 我還喝了真多水呀 🤦🤦🤦還好沒有停下來！ 繼續5:40-5:45 的pace 那時候很有信心可以跑個1:14-1:13、感覺沒問題....但是坡開始來了

我的訓練裡沒有超過8km 的brick. 過了五mile後 可以感覺身體開始反應 「先生 你好像從來沒有跑更遠 我們可以打烊了嗎？」 我開始感覺會撞牆. 我把膠都吃完了. （270 卡） 那時候想「完了 好像低估了能量. 」每一個aid station 開始 猛喝紅牛 gatorade 可樂. 到了六 mile 時 開始感覺頭很暈 上上下下的 rolling hill 又好多 中間有一個pier 急轉彎+超陡坡 那時候差點崩潰. 想說 here we go again 又是老樣子 又要跑個tmd 1:21 之類的鬼東西. 但突然想起了大家台灣朋友 訓練夥伴們 極光組 的所有的祝福. 咬牙 繼續硬忍 衝！力量還好回來 又撐到下一個aid station 又感覺要崩潰 坡一直來 我真的就跑在極限線上 過了每個上坡就趕緊喘口氣 來來回回. 最後終點一個英里 我已經知道自己跑了大約1:15 那時候我還是用力堅持 看到旁边的海滩，告诉自己我在living my dream！

我好高興. 我從頭到尾油門沒有放開 一直是踩到底 在極限線上衝. 這個就是我一直等的完美的比賽. 希望steve prefontaine 在天上也微笑 「小子 做得好」

耐力運動像藝術一樣 不是什麼都是算得很精準 有很多東西都是自己要靠體感 和心理的聲音去決定速度 比賽強度 就像一個鋼琴手彈出來的演奏 是電腦機器不能重複的.

我比完跟我爸媽說 我以為我會一直想 「我要怎麼跑更快 騎更快 游更快 但我一直聽到自己說 老兄 真的不錯」

我還是會努力地試著變更好 破四還是一個目標. 但我心裡已經平靜 感覺像站在以前覺得爬不到的一個山頂上 往下看著自己這十年走來的路 有淚有血 （血其實比較多） 然後很平靜的往更高的山頂看 也許某一天 我可以爬更高.
