If possible visit the market on a weekday because many visit here on weekends for photos. (According to what I see online…. There were so many people even on a weekday…)
If you plan to get something more traditional, check out the paper Jade rabbit, who lives in Moon Palace with the moon lady 嫦娥. Or the lantern made with cellophane papers. I will go for star fruit!

Firefly season is here! Fireflies (or lightning bugs) can be seen in many parts of Taiwan in spring. Do you have these amazing creatures where you live? When visiting them, don’t forget to keep minimize the use of flashlights, which should be covered with red cellophane paper. Oh, and keep quiet too!

Ingredients
Broth
2.2 pounds (1 kg) pork bones
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon salt, plus more to season
1 teaspoon rock sugar
1 yellow onion, peeled and halved
5 shallots, 2 kept whole, the rest peeled and thinly sliced
2 slices ginger
Toppings
1 pound (450g) eel
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 cup corn starch
14 ounces (400g) glass noodle, soaked 10 minutes
1/2 cup Vietnamese mint, leaves removed and chopped
3 scallions, white part removed, green part chopped
2 limes, cut into wedges
Directions
1. Place the bones in a pot filled with enough water to cover. Add vinegar and bring to a boil. Parboil the pork bones for 5 minutes to remove the impurities. Then pour out the whole pot. Rinse bones well and wipe the pot clean. Transfer the bones to a large stock pot and add in 12 cups or 3 litres water, 1 tablespoon salt, the rock sugar and the peeled onion. Bring to a boil and skim off the foam. Then simmer on medium low for 1 to 2 hours, uncovered.
2. Grill 2 shallots and ginger slices until they slightly charred on the outside. Then scrape and rinse off the black bits. Add to the soup pot to enhance the fragrance.
3. Fill a small sauce pan with 4 cups (1 liter) water. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil. Add the eel and cook for 2 to 5 minutes depending on the size. When you see cracks on the eels' backs, they are cooked. Remove and leave to cool. Hold the head of the eel with one hand, and use the thumb, index and middle finger of the other hand to pull the flesh off the bone. If using large eels, you can fillet the flesh with a knife.
4. Crush the bones in a mortar and pestle and boil for another 15 minutes to release the sweetness. Strain to extract the eel broth.
5. Gather the flesh in a bowl and season with half a teaspoon each of salt, pepper, tumeric powder and grated ginger. Divide into 2 parts. Set one part aside. Roll the other part over a plate of corn starch and deep-fry till golden brown. Also mix the sliced shallot with some corn starch and fry till golden brown. Remove and place on paper towel to drain the excess oil.
6. Extract the pork broth to another pot and combine with the eel broth. Season to taste with fish sauce and chicken stock.
7. Add a handful of soaked glass noodles into a noodle strainer and submerge into the boiling broth to blanch. Transfer to a serving bowl. Top with some soft eel and the crispy fried eel. Sprinkle some chopped Vietnamese mint, scallions and some cracked pepper. Ladle the hot soup over. Garnish with a tablespoon of fried shallot, some chili slices and a blanched scallion (white part). Serve with some fish sauce for dipping and a wedge of lime.

【Materials】
· Resin clay pastel purple
· Stick, spatula for clay
· Cutting board
· Atomizer
· Parchment paper
· Permanent marker
· Scotch tape
· Glue for decoration
· Very small fake pearl
· Pearl
· Bijou
【Steps】
1. Roll out the clay thinly with stick, put the atomizer on it and cut off the extra clay in L-shape with a spatula.
2. Wrap the clay around the atomizer and adjust the shape so that the cut end of the clay is not noticeable.
3. Lightly wrap the parchment paper around the clay-wrapped atomizer and cut extra by adjusting the diameter and length. Fold and spread the sheet so that the side of the sheet is divided into four equal parts and the length is divided into three equal parts. Draw a rhombus latticework using folds.
4. Wrap the sheet with the pattern on atomizer and fix with cellophane tape. Lightly press spatula along the pattern of the sheet, and remove the sheet.
5. Make the marks of the spatula on the clay even more distinctive. Place a cross pattern where lines cross.
6. Find the boundary between the lid and the bottle from the gap of the pattern, make a notch along it and let the lid open.
7. Apply decoration glue where the lines of the grid intersect and set the tiny pearl.
8. Apply plenty of glue also on the top of the lid and decorate with bijou and pearls.
9. Completion if clay and glue are completely dry !!

【作り方】
1. 粘土をのし棒で薄く広げて伸ばし、アトマイザーを乗せてL時にへらで切り落とす
2. アトマイザーに粘土を巻いて包み、粘土の切れ目を目立たないように形を整える
3. 粘土を巻いたアトマイザーにクッキングシートを軽く巻き、直径や長さに合わせて切り取る。シートの横を4等分、縦を3等分になるように折って広げ、
折り跡を利用してひし形の格子模様を描く。
4. 模様を描いたシートをアトマイザーに巻いてセロハンテープで固定する。シートの模様に沿ってへらを軽く押しつけてシートを外す
5. 粘土の上についた跡をはっきりとした模様になるようにする。線が交わるところは十字の模様も押入れる
6. 模様の隙間から蓋とボトルの境目に沿って切り込みを入れて蓋が開くようにする
7. 格子の線が交わるところにデコ用ボンドを塗り、極小パールをはめ込む
8. 蓋の上部にも同様にビジューやパールで飾る
9. 粘土やデコプリンセスが完全に乾いたら完成!

· Glue
· Aluminum foil
· LED light
· Cellophane tape
· Tracing paper
【Steps】
1. Apply glue to the bottom and sides of the empty box
2. Cut the aluminum foil into the size of the box and paste it on the bottom and sides
3. Secure the LED light to the box with cellophane tape
4. Cut the tracing paper into an appropriate size and cover the box
5. Secure the case containing the battery to the back of the empty box with cellophane tape

【作り方】
1.空き箱の底や側面にノリを塗る
2.アルミホイルを箱の大きさに切り、底や側面に貼る
3.LEDライトを箱の中にセロハンテープで貼っていく
4.トレーシングペーパーを適当な大きさに切り、箱を覆っていく
5.電池の入っているケースを、セロハンテープで空き箱の裏に固定する
