Sleep stages are important because they allow the brain and body to recuperate and develop. Failure to obtain enough of both deep sleep and REM sleep may explain some of the profound consequences of insufficient sleep on thinking, emotions, and physical health. Sleepers who are frequently awoken during earlier stages, such as sleep apnea, may struggle to cycle into these deeper sleep stages properly. People with insomnia may not get enough total sleep to accumulate the needed time in each stage.
While you don’t have complete control of your sleep cycle, you can take steps to improve your chances of having a healthy progression through each sleep stage.
A critical step is to improve your sleep hygiene, which refers to your sleep environment (mattress, pillow etc.) and sleep-related habits. :
🌻 Opt for a silk pillowcase
🌻 More consistent sleep schedule
🌻 Getting natural daylight exposure
🌻 Avoiding alcohol before bedtime
🌻 Sleep before midnight to feel rested and refreshed
🌻 Eliminating noise and light disruptions (silk sleep mask)
🌻 Switch to pillows that suit your sleep style
Minor changes can help you get uninterrupted sleep and promote proper alignment of your circadian rhythm.
If you find that you have excessive daytime sleepiness or otherwise suspect that you might have a sleep disorder like sleep apnea, it’s essential to talk with a doctor who can most appropriately guide your care. Addressing underlying issues may pave the way for more complete and restorative sleep cycles.

早一陣子我就有一個情況就是,吃完晚餐之後,明明都快到睡了,但繼續找東西吃宵夜。
就算已經都躺了在床上,但還是覺得好餓好想吃東西。
而最大問題的時什麼呢,就是我會半夜醒來,然後好餓一定要吃東西才舒服。
這個情況大概持續了兩個月,才知道這情況是叫做Night eating syndrome?
不過還好現在我已經完全沒有這個問題了!
真慶幸自己及早積極處理,我也很有信心之後不會再有這情況了。
