They are the victims of a traditional dolphin hunt called Grindadráp (or "The Grind") that takes place annually on the shores of the Faroe Islands, an archipelago between Iceland and Norway. Last week's horrific event is estimated to be the largest single cull in the island's history, with even seasoned whalers deeming the slow, cruel mass killing of over 1,400 white-sided dolphins in a single day unethical. I don't believe "tradition" is an adequate justification for this senseless practice. In fact, I can't think of a single reason why it should be allowed to continue. 還沒看到這則新聞之前，我以為北歐就是注重環保、重視保育的國家。但原來，仍然有著少數民族，循著傳統文化而活。
屠殺上千隻海豚，這是一種傳統文化下保護色的惡意屠殺，或是真心由衷地尊重祖先的習俗？我們不是他們，無法知道這個答案。
生活在台灣這座島嶼中，我們知道的是，原住民先人曾出草獵人頭是為了祈福，但現在他們已與文明站在同一陣線上。
對某些國家的刻板印象，其實與實際上發生的未必相同。像我們對德國的印象就是嚴肅，一版一眼，但走了一趟德國後，會發現他們也有著在啤酒節狂歡時酩酊大醉的可愛。

Iceland’s Blue Lagoon should be at the top of your bucket list. The famously milky-blue waters have captivated travellers and contributed to the country’s tourism boom in recent years. The waters are full of mineral salts, healthy algae and a kind of silica mud that contributes to its cloudy blue color as well as being a nourishing tonic for the human skin.
