濕邪,常見於夏季的致病原因,濕邪有四大特性:一、沉重混濁,濕邪會使人感到全身困重疲倦,好像被濕毛巾裹著一樣,亦會製造出混濁分泌物,例如面油、痰液、白帶、小便混濁等;二、黏滯,濕邪傷人會使分泌物黏滯,例如汗水較黏、痰多口黏、大便稀爛等,而且濕邪甚為難纏,病情反覆發作;三、易傷陽氣,濕邪會導致全身氣機運行阻滯,水濕停留於體內,形成水腫、痰多等症狀;四、愛向低處走,濕邪就像水一樣喜歡向下流,容易侵犯人身體下部,造成腳氣、白帶增多、下身水腫等。
夏天氣候潮濕多雨,地下濕氣上升,令人容易感受濕邪。而居住地區潮濕、工作經常接觸水濕或者涉水淋雨都會增加濕邪入侵的機會。濕邪喜歡結合其它淫邪作惡,遇熱成為濕熱,特徵為舌偏紅、舌苔偏黃膩、眼乾目赤、體味重、多面油、大便偏軟質黏且臭、女性白帶偏多且色偏黃味重,宜飲用有清熱祛濕功效的湯水調理體質。
清熱祛濕湯水小貼士:
適當地添加祛濕食材如薏米、赤小豆、扁豆、扁豆衣等
粟米節瓜粟米鬚湯
功效:清熱利水滲濕,紓緩口氣、腳氣、小便偏黃、口苦口乾等症狀。
材料:粟米2根、節瓜2個、新鮮粟米鬚80克(約二兩)、眉豆30克、花生30克、 陳皮1角、蜜棗3枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,節瓜去皮切塊、粟米連鬚連芯切大塊備用。
2. 鍋內加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,以武火煮至水滾,調文火煮約1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
Energizing soup to dispel dampness
Dampness pathogen is a common cause of illnesses during summer, and there are four major characteristics of dampness pathogen. Firstly, the body feels fatigued as if it is wrapped by a wet tower. It also excretes turbid secretions, such as facial oil, phlegm, vaginal discharge, turbid urine. Secondly, it makes secretions such as sweat, more phlegm and stool sticky. These symptoms are also prone to reoccurrence. Thirdly, it harms yang qi easily. Dampness affects the transporting and transforming functions of the body. Dampness in the body causes symptoms such as edema and phlegm. Fourthly, dampness goes down to the lower part of the body like water flow which can cause feet odor, excessive vaginal discharge and edema of the lower body.
The summer climate is humid and rainy, and the underground humidity rises, making people feel dampness easily. Humid living areas, frequent exposure to water in working areas, or rain will increase the chance of dampness invasion. Dampness pathogen tends to combine with other pathogens. When it contacts heat, it becomes damp heat. It is characterized by reddish tongue, yellowish and sticky tongue coating, dry and red eyes, heavy body odor, facial oil, soft, sticky and smelly stools, excessive yellowish vaginal discharge. You can drink soup with clearing heat and dispelling dampness effects to condition the body.
Tips for soup to clear heat and dispel dampness:
Appropriately add in ingredients such as coix seed, rice bean, hyacinth bean, hyacinth bean coat.
Corn soup with hairy gourd and corn silk
Effects: clears heat, promotes diuresis, dispels dampness, relieves symptoms such as bad breath, feet odor, yellowish urine, bitter mouth and dry mouth.
Ingredients: 2 ears of corn, 2 hairy gourd, 80g fresh corn silk, 30g purple haricot, 30g peanut, 1 dried citrus peel, 3 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel hairy gourd and cut into pieces. Cut corn into large pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.

CheckCheckCin:暑邪是常見於夏季的致病原因,暑邪有三大特性:一、炎熱,暑邪傷人會使人出現發燒、出汗、煩躁等症狀;二、上升散發,受暑邪侵襲會使毛孔打開出汗,耗損津液會令人感到口渴、小便量少色黃,傷津耗氣容易導致頭暈、呼吸急促、抽筋等;三、常與濕邪結合傷人,濕度高的環境令人體汗水難以揮發,身體未能靠出汗散熱,令人出現四肢困倦、食慾不振、胸悶等症狀,所以本身濕氣重的人特別容易中暑。
不論時節,只要天氣炎熱加上濕度高都容易引致中暑,如果在冬天暖氣大開令室內溫度上升,窗戶緊閉令室內空氣不流通,或者穿衣過多過度保暖(最常發生在嬰孩身上),加上濕度高的話都會造成中暑。中暑有輕微和嚴重程度之分,如果在輕微中暑時已及早察覺,症狀包括大量出汗、口乾舌躁、作嘔作悶、沒有食慾、容易疲累等,及時走到通風地方,慢慢喝溫水補充水份,讓身體自然散熱,就能避免嚴重的中暑症狀。
絲瓜絡荷葉茶
功效:清熱祛濕,紓緩中暑、戶外工作或運動後流汗過多、頭暈、疲倦等症狀。
材料:絲瓜絡10克、荷葉6克
做法:材料洗淨放入保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,注入熱開水焗15-20分鐘即可。此茶能反覆沖泡至味淡。

Firstly, bodiky damage from heat can lead to symptoms such as fever, sweating and irritability. Secondly, it rises and spreads. Pores open and you sweat under attack from heat pathogen. Losing fluids can lead to thirst, yellowish urine with low volume. Losing too much fluid and qi will easily lead to dizziness, shortness of breath, cramps. Thirdly, it usually harms the body with dampness. The high humidity environment makes it difficult for sweat to evaporate, the body fails to cool down by sweating. It causes symptoms such as fatigue in the limbs, poor appetite, and chest tightness. Therefore, people with dampness stagnation are prone to heat stroke.
No matter which season it is, hot weather with high humidity can easily cause heat stroke. If the heater is on to raise the room temperature, windows are closed and air is not circulating, or you have many layers of clothes to keep warm (common in babies or children), coupled with high humidity may cause heat stroke. Heat stroke is categorized into mild and severe. If you detect it early during mild heat stroke, symptoms include heavy sweating, dry mouth, nausea, lack of appetite, and easily fatigued. Go to a ventilated place quickly and drink warm water slowly to replenish fluid and allow the body to cool down naturally, thus preventing severe heat stroke symptoms.
Loofah tea with lotus leaves
Effects: clears heat and dispels dampness. Relieves heat stroke, excessive sweating, dizziness and fatigue after outdoor activity or exercise.
Ingredients: 10g loofah, 6g lotus leaves
Preparation: rinse all ingredients thoroughly and place into thermos, rinse with hot water once. Then add in hot water again and steep for 15-20 minutes. You can re-brew this tea until its flavor weakens.

薑茶發汗抗寒邪
寒邪,常見於冬季的致病原因,寒邪有三大特性:一、易傷陽氣,受寒邪侵襲就會怕冷怕風;二、凝滯,寒邪會使身體內的氣血津液運行減慢,不通則痛,容易引致頭痛及頸部肌肉酸痛。三、收縮,寒邪侵襲人體會使毛孔緊閉,皮膚收縮,所以感受寒邪會令人打冷顫及起雞皮疙瘩。如果寒邪侵襲脾胃,以致脾胃運化功能失常,會出現嘔吐及腹瀉的情況,這種腹瀉狀況來得較為急速,大便較為清稀,臭味不重,伴有腹脹及腹痛。
受到寒邪侵襲,治療方法為溫中散寒,宜適量進食驅寒暖胃的食物,例如飲用薑茶、炒米水等;避免再進食屬性寒涼生冷例如魚生壽司、香蕉、梨、西瓜等,以免加重風寒症狀。風寒感冒初起可自行沖泡薑茶紓緩症狀,因為薑性溫,有發汗散寒、溫中止嘔的功效,可紓緩因風寒感冒而引起的怕冷、頭痛等症狀。症狀持續的話宜諮詢註冊中醫師治理。
生薑紅糖茶
功效:發汗解表、溫肺止咳、健脾暖胃、散寒活血。
材料:生薑4片、紅糖2茶匙、紅茶葉3克
做法:生薑去皮切片,用刀背拍打一下,與紅茶葉放入保溫瓶,加入熱開水泡10分鐘,最後加入紅糖即可。此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡。

You have aversion to cold and wind when invaded by cold pathogen. Secondly, it causes stagnation as qi, blood and fluid circulation can slow down when in contact with cold pathogen. Pain is usually caused by stagnation such as headache and sore neck. Thirdly, it causes shrinkage. Pores will close and skin will shrink when invaded by cold pathogen, so you will get chills and goosebumps. If the cold pathogen invades the spleen and stomach, it will result in poor fluid circulation of the spleen and stomach. Vomiting and diarrhea may occur. This diarrhea condition comes more quickly, the stool is watery, the odor is not heavy, and it is accompanied by abdominal bloating and pain.
To treat the invasion of cold pathogen, you need to warm the body and dispel cold. Appropriately consume foods that can dispel cold and warm the stomach, such as ginger tea, fried rice water and so on. Avoid eating cold/raw food such as sashimi, sushi, banana, pear, honey, watermelon to not aggravate the cold-wind symptoms. Effects: promotes perspiration, warms the lungs and relieves cough, strengthens the spleen and warms the stomach, dispels cold and activates blood
Ingredients: 4 slices of raw gingers, 2 tablespoon brown sugar, 3g black tea leaves
Preparation: Peel and cut raw gingers into slices. Pound them with the back of a knife. Put them with black tea leaves into thermos. Steep with hot water for 10 minutes and add brown sugar to taste. You can re-brew until its flavor weakens.
