สิงคโปร์เริ่มทดลองใช้สุนัขจักรกลคอยลาดตระเวณในสวนสาธารณะสิงคโปร์ คอยดูแลให้ประชาชนทำ Social Distance
แม้สถานการณ์เชื้อไวรัส COVID-19 จะเริ่มเบาบางลงแล้วในบางประเทศ และผู้คนเริ่มกลับมาใช้ชีวิตตามปกติได้ แต่ก็ไม่ได้หมายความว่าจะไม่ควรป้องกันอะไรเลย

ในประเทศสิงคโปร์ ผู้คนเริ่มออกมาใช้ชีวิต พบเจอกันด้านนอกตามสวนสาธารณะ แต่การทำ Social Distance หรือเว้นระยะห่างจากกันเพื่อป้องกันการติดเชื้อก็ยังเป็นสิ่งที่ควรทำกันอยู่ และเมื่อการควบคุมนั้นอาจไม่ทั่วถึง เทคโนโลยีจึงเข้ามามีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง

จักรกลสี่ขาที่เหมือนกับสุนัขตัวนี้ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นโดยบริษัท Boston Dynamics ถูกนำไปเริ่มใช้งานเป็นครั้งแรกในสวนสาธารณะของสิงคโปร์เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ผ่านมา

โดยมันเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการทดลอง 2 สัปดาห์ที่จะปล่อยให้มันทำงานลาดตระเวณ และเป็นหนึ่งในจักรกลตำรวจที่จะมาทำงานร่วมกับหุ่นยนต์ตัวอื่น ๆ ในอนาคต

ในระหว่างตรวจตราและการทำงานของมัน จะมีคำสั่งเสียงดังออกมาจากตัวมันว่า "Let's keep singapore healthy" และส่งเสียงคอยเตือนเหล่าประชาชนว่า "For your own safety and for those around you, please stand at least one metre apart." ซึ่งก็คือคอยเตือนให้ประชาชนอยู่ห่างกันอย่างน้อยหนึ่งเมตร เพื่อเป็นการทำ Social Distance ป้องกันเชื้อ COVID-19

ซึ่งหากมีผู้ไม่ปฏิบัติตาม หรือฝ่าฝทนกฎก็จะต้องโดนตรวจจับและอาจเสียค่าปรับไปจนถึงขั้นติดคุกกันเลยทีเดียว

ในตอนนี้สิงคโปร์เริ่มให้ประชาชนสามารถออกจากบ้านของตัวเองได้ สำหรับการเดินทางไปยังสถานที่สำคัญ เช่นการซื้อของใช้จำเป็น แต่ยังจะต้องสวมหน้ากากอนามัยทุกครั้ง และเปิดสวนสาธารณะให้ออกกำลังกายกลางแจ้งได้ แต่ต้องทำคนเดียว

นอกจากสุนัขจักรกลตัวนี้แล้ว สิงคโปร์ยังมีหุ่นยนต์ขนาดเล็กรูปแบบอื่นอีกที่ถูกนำไปใช้ในพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ เช่นป้องกันการชุมนุมหรือรวมตัวกันเป็นต้น

การเริ่มใช้เทคโนโลยีเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้องทำให้เรารู้สึกว่าในอนาคตมนุษย์กับจักรกล หรือ AI อาจจะมีส่วนร่วมในชีวิตกันมากขึ้นไปอีก นับว่าของโลกของเราพัฒนาไปไกลขึ้นทุกวัน ๆ ครับ
