Northwestern Ecuador was not what I had expected at all. Despite a US travel advisory over safety and crimes, I found that Esmeraldas was the most friendly city that I've ever visited. I wish I knew more Spanish... like father Xavier. He is a Vietnamese man from Lam Dong Province who has lived in Ecuador for four years. This vlog is just a preview and also my last day showcasing what I did and how I traveled from Esmeraldas to Orange County. The priest and I went to Muisne to visit his two fellow Indonesian priests and then I flew to Quito where my flight was delayed until morning. When I got into Dallas, I found out that my friend Alex from highschool was still there because he missed his flight. I also missed my connecting flight to Los Angeles because the one hour layover was not enough to clear immigration and retrieve my bags and clear customs. I made it to Los Angeles soon after where I met up with my long time college buddy Aaron. I haven't seen him in a long time. Then I went home and slept.
