Loud or smelly farts – which is better?
Farting is a normal biological process, and a normal person will fart on a daily basis. Yet, we are constantly embarrassed by its sound and smell. There is a saying ‘loud farts do not smell, and smelly farts are silent’, so between loud and smelly farts, which do you prefer?
Farting regularly means the body is circulating well, and the bowel movement should be normal. However, if excessive flatulence occurs, the person might be experiencing indigestion or has a weak spleen or stomach.
Individuals with qi stagnation or those who are under a lot of stress would tend to fart more frequently. Since the circulation of the qi was disrupted, the body has to release the gas more regularly. It is best to consume ingredients that can soothe the qi and the liver, such as dried citrus peel, rose flower, jasmine flower, white radish, and loofah to improve this condition.
The volume of a fart is associated with the gas’ expulsion velocity around the external anal sphincter, and the process is generally uncontrollable. As for unpleasant odor, we can improve the condition by adjusting our diets. Individuals with a damp heat body constitution, meat lovers, heavy drinkers, and those who enjoy fat, greasy, spicy, and heavily flavored foods would tend to pass foul-smelling gas. Consume an appropriate amount of mung bean, rice bean, coix seed, and winter melon. These ingredients can clear the heat and dispel dampness from the body to reduce the smell of farts.
✔️CheckCheckCin Healing Tea Recommendation: Very hot (qi)

Kindness is like a boomerang. What you give out comes back.
Being on either side is a blessing. No matter if you are the one to give or the one to receive.
****************************************
Today we run out of gasoline in the middle of nowhere. Neither the gas gauge nor the milage display is working on my scooter. Luckily there was a taiwanese family, we had just met, behind us. Mum, dad and two boys, also on a scooter. Instead of leaving us alone in the dark to get some fuel, the man pushed us with his knee almost 2km to the main street. His wife called another friend to meet us there with gasoline. I found it difficult to control the bike, I really don't know how he managed to controll his bike with 4 people on while pushing us with his knee. So grateful for this kind people.
On the way home, a Indian woman stopped me to give her a lift to the next village. She sat behind me with her huge carry one, but it felt like there was no extra weight behind us on the scooter. I felt this was my chance to pass on the kindness I had received minutes earlier. Instead of just dropping her off at the center, I asked where she needed to go and drove her an extra 2km. She left with a huge smile on her face and so did I.

====================
Dushanbe🚖

Snow was fun until it became a blizzard and blocked the mountain passage on our border crossing day from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan😠
The intended border crossing route was from Samarkand to Panjakent border (40 mins USD$2 mini bus) then USD$10pp from border to Dushanbe (5 hours)🚗
However, the day before departure it started to snow ❄ We arrived at the border crossing not realising the roads were closed! So we had to decide on an alternative route on the spot!
The other border (Tursunzoda border) crossing into Tajikistan requires bypassing the mountain (450km of windy road)⛰ which is another 9 hour car ride from the original boarder!!! Only then we can cross into Tajikistan and catch another taxi which will take another hour drive to our destination at Dushanbe😣
We haggled the trip fare from USD$100 to USD$55 for two👀 Then after the border crossing the Tajik man who was on the same car helped us to negotiate the taxi into Dushanbe from USD$5pp to USD$2.5pp so we won't need to pay the tourist price😬
When we arrive in the outskirts of Dushanbe, the Uzbek man in the same car did us a favour and asked his friend to give us a ride to our hostel🏠
We were exhausted by the time we reached our hostel at 10.30pm😩 Devastatingly we learnt that the original route reopened 9 hours ago which was only 3 hours after we left the place 😰
Apparently it was only 5KM of the mountain pass that was closed off due to snow which they had promptly cleared.
We could have stayed at the boarder for 3 hours and travelled to Dushanbe in 5 hours. Instead we travelled for 10 hours on the long route😭
So the timeline of the day was:
Left hotel at 9.30AM and was going to walk 3KM to shared taxi stop🚏 Met this lovely old taxi driver offered to take us there for free! 👴 He was hoping we could pay him to go to the border but we declined the offer. He didn’t charge us anything for the short ride 😅
Got on the mini van at 10AM and off to the border with the locals. We arrived at the boarder at 10:30am only find that the route is closed due to snow❄️
Snapped some photos of the boarder gate and the border guard came and demanded that I step out of the car😠 He then took my phone and looked at the photos and deleted ones he deemed inappropriate📸 First time getting treated like this. Thankfully he didn't see my camera nor he knew the deleted photos goes to a "bin" section in phones😂
Negotiated the fare by 10.40AM and finally got our last shared taxi passenger at 11.30AM!!! These people were at Panjakent (Tajikistan) already but bcz the route to Dushanbe was closed, they have to take the alternate long route 😲
The other drivers and the passengers then collectively touched their faces with both hands and mumbled sth. I think they praying for safe journey🙏 They did this everytime we start the drive again.
We did not anticipate this whole journey was going to take this long!!! The driver even did a wrong turn, weather was so cold he had to go borrow hot water from shops to defrost his engine. The car here runs on gas so everytime he tops up we have to get off the car into the freezing cold 😑
We didn't reach the border till 8.30PM😱 Poor York who sat in the middle seat got a really sore ass...
We successfully crossed both borders around 9.30PM and the two men in the car waited for us and made sure we crossed safely❤
After an intense fare negotiation, we finally arrived in outer Dushanbe city at 10.15PM (13KM from our hostel) and the man's friend gave us a ride 🚙
What a journey just to cross the border!! The hotel dude said we should've just waited and the road may open in a few hours/days time. We were not prepared to gamble with this route opening time as we were on a tight schedule😝
Ps. Food along the journey was SHIT and expensive 🙄 Didn't even bother taking a picture...

When it comes to most things in sports and in life, more is not always better. Conditioning is obviously a very important aspect of physical development for a basketball player, but does working a player until they almost pass out or vomit the way to go? Today we are going to be breaking it down for everyone on intelligent and effective conditioning that will leave your players injury free as well as give them ability to perform in the fourth quarter when the other team has run out of gas!

It didn't take long for Theo Ratliff to make
his presence felt for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sidelined with a stress fracture in his left ankle for the first
six games of the season, Ratliff returned with 17 points, eight
rebounds and a key blocked shot as the 76ers held off the
Toronto Raptors, 93-90.
"I wanted to get to a point where I was healthy enough to make a
contribution," Ratliff said. "Tonight I felt great. Everything
is going well. I enjoyed being out there.
"Theo was a presence the whole game," 76ers coach Larry Brown
said.
The 6-10 forward started at center and triggered a 12-2 burst in
the fourth quarter that was fueled by Allen Iverson, who scored
eight of his 30 points in the pivotal stretch. Iverson has
scored at least 30 points in four consecutive games, with the
Sixers (3-4) winning three.
"Theo back gave us confidence, especially being on the road,"
Iverson said. "We feel with Theo, we can't be beat at home or on
the road."
Toronto's Vince Carter scored a season-high 27 points but had a
layup blocked by Ratliff and missed a potential tying 3-pointer
in the final seconds. The cold-shooting Raptors trailed by 19
points in the third quarter and had a four-game winning streak
snapped.
"It was a fight from start to finish and they won," Carter said.
"We were missing shots early and they were getting fast breaks
and making their layups and jump shots. We still fought hard to
come back. But we ran out of gas at the end. We just have to
bounce back."
Losers of its first four road games, Philadelphia took a 75-66
lead into the fourth quarter but had six turnovers in the first
four minutes of the period. A jumper by Carter completed a 9-1
surge and pulled the Raptors within 76-75 with 8:08 to go.
Ratliff took an alley-oop pass from Iverson and dunked to start
the decisive run. Iverson and Toronto's Dell Curry traded
baskets before Philadelphia's Eric Snow scored with 6:46 left.
Iverson made a four-point play and a fast-break layup to widen
the lead to 88-77 with 5:48 remaining.
"I thought we played great, except for seven or eight minutes,"
Brown said. "We took bad shots and had turnovers. We knew
Toronto was going to make a run at us and we got upset. But we
made some big shots."
Two 3-pointers by Curry, who scored 13 points, helped Toronto
peck away at the deficit. Ratliff's layup with 1:26 left gave
Philadelphia a 92-87 lead and Carter answered with a pair of
free throws.
Carter and Snow traded a free throw apiece before Carter had his
drive blocked by Ratliff, who was third in the league in blocks
last season. Snow lost the deflection out of bounds with 7.5
seconds left but Carter and Alvin Williams missed 3-pointers
before the horn sounded.
"We knew they'd try to get a quick basket and I was patrolling
the lane," Ratliff said.
"Theo is a very good player when he's healthy," Raptors coach
Butch Carter said. "He gives them a presence in the middle that
they haven't had."
George Lynch scored 12 points and Snow added eight, 11 assists
and seven rebounds for the Sixers, who shot 44 percent
(37-of-84) from the field. Iverson made 4-of-5 3-pointers and
added seven rebounds and six assists.
Doug Christie scored 19 points for the Raptors, who shot just 37
percent (29-of-78), negating a 27-14 edge in made foul shots.
Iverson scored 12 points and Ratliff and Lynch 10 apiece as the
Sixers grabbed a 55-45 halftime lead. Iverson framed a 9-0 run
to open the third quarter with a 3-pointer and jumper, pushing
Philadelphia's lead to 64-45 with 8:25 remaining.
"We played solid defense," Iverson said. "It was important to
get an early lead. It gave us confidence."
"They got the lead early and it gave them confidence," said
Raptors forward Charles Oakley, who was held scoreless. "Being
down by 19 is a lot at home. We just didn't get the job done. We
really haven't done anything yet. We have a good team but we
have to be consistent if we want to be an elite team in this
league."
Consecutive baskets by Christie closed the period and capped a
9-2 burst that cut Toronto's deficit to nine points.

Allen Iverson got the final shot in his shootout with Carmelo Anthony.
Iverson scored 36 points, including the game-winning basket, and the Philadelphia 76ers overcame Anthony's career-high 45 to beat the Denver Nuggets 108-106 on Tuesday night.
Chris Webber added 32 points and 15 rebounds, none bigger than the one in the final minute that set up Iverson's winning shot.
After Webber grabbed Earl Watson's miss from long range, the Sixers called a timeout with 21 seconds left. Iverson took the inbounds pass and stalled at midcourt until driving on Andre Miller, then pulling up and sinking the basket from the top of the key with 4.2 seconds remaining.
"I was surprised that they just let me wind the clock down and take a shot," Iverson said. "I told my teammates that I was going to wind it down. ... I was hoping if I did miss, the ball would bounce and the time would run out."
Miller insisted he wanted Iverson, who was hobbled by a sprained ankle he twisted in the third quarter, to take a jump shot rather than drive to the basket.
"I got a hand up on the shot. He knocked the shot down. It was a good play," Miller said.
The 76ers, on the other hand, weren't about to let Anthony get a good look at the end.
"You don't want somebody shooting that had been making a lot of shots," Iverson said.
So, after two timeouts, Anthony took the inbounds but couldn't get a good look with Andre Iguodala and Webber in his face, so he dished to Watson, whose open 3-pointer was short, bouncing off the rim at the buzzer.
"There was no way I could have taken the final shot tonight," Anthony said. "They had three people right there, and Earl Watson was wide open."
For the second time in the final 28 seconds, no less.
"Great player made a shot; we missed two wide-open 3s," Denver coach George Karl lamented when asked to sum up the final possessions.
Iverson sprained his right ankle five minutes into the second half. He was taped up and stayed but had to alter his game a little.
"I was struggling," Iverson said. "I couldn't really go to the basket as quick as I wanted to. When I did it was real painful."
The 76ers' already big height advantage was augmented when Kenyon Martin (thigh) couldn't go and Marcus Camby (finger) sat out the final 42 minutes. With Nene (knee) out for the year, all three of the Nuggets' big men were out.
"It is getting old," Anthony said. "I hope we have everybody out there as soon as possible. Playing with a 6-4 lineup is tough."
The one thing Karl was worried about with his small lineup was rebounding, and the 76ers outrebounded them 46-35.
"And it wasn't necessarily because they were bigger. I just think, sometimes our rebounding habits we rely so much on Marcus that we forget about doing our responsibilities," Karl said. "It's usually better to watch film than make that criticism, but I thought there were some balls that bounced on the ground."
Anthony, whose previous career high was 42 on Dec. 13 at Charlotte, scored 19 points in the third quarter, which ended in an 80-80 tie. But while he was catching his breath on the bench, the 76ers swished three straight 3s, two of them by Kyle Korver, and Philadelphia took a 91-87 lead with 7:44 remaining.
"I was a little disturbed if we were playing small why we should give up 3s," Karl said. "And their gas tank was probably a little fuller than ours and that probably showed up in the way the ball bounced in loose-ball situations."
Anthony returned and jammed his right wrist when Samuel Dalembert fouled him on his follow-through. Anthony shook it off to sink all three free throws and then put Denver ahead 94-93 with a drive to the basket 30 seconds later.
His breakaway basket with 3:56 left gave him 43 points and put Denver ahead 98-93 before the 76ers rallied behind Iverson and Anthony went the final 3:05 without any more points.
"The man had a fantastic game, it's just a shame he didn't get rewarded with a win," Karl said. "His efficiency was great. I think what you saw tonight is when he makes his jump shot, he's pretty difficult, maybe impossible, to cover by one guy."
Something the Sixers discovered just in time.
Game notes
Anthony said he'll need treatment on his right wrist Wednesday. ... Denver is 17-5 without Martin in the lineup over the last two seasons.
