Jessie Chung is an international recording artist and actress based in Australia, currently under the management of Future Entertainment & Music Group. True to her multitalented status, she is also a doctor of medicine in oncology, naturopathic doctor (US), certified nutritional consultant (US), homeopathic doctor, certified iridologist, biotech researcher, accomplished entrepreneur, author, martial arts coach, and philanthropist from Malaysia. Besides holding a doctor of medicine degree (M.D.) in Clinical Chinese and Western Integrative Medicine—Oncology from Guangzhou University of TCM, China, she also possesses a Master of Business Administration from The University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Oriental Medical Institute, Hawaii, USA. In recent years, she was the only naturopathic oncologist selected as one of the Hummingbird Cancer Centre leading members to head their natural therapy department. Her passion for music was evident at a young age as she racked up numerous singing competition awards. With experience in dozens of concerts in five different languages, Jessie yielded huge responses from fans around the world during her 2015 Love Unity Concert, leaving barely any space in the arena. She has appeared on numerous TV shows in Taiwan, and her album was strongly recommended by the TV hosts of the programmes, one of them being Kevin Tsai (Cai Kang Yong), in his legendary TV show Kangsi Coming. Exhibiting a strong presence on TV shows, Jessie has recently been invited to host TV shows in both China and Australia. Although she spends a great deal of time releasing albums and performing on stage, Jessie also enjoys a retreat from the hectic world once in a while to recharge and ponder upon her life. During these quiet times squeezed out of her schedule, she authored Stay Away from Cancer, Stay Away from Diseases, and the Jessie Diary series, informing the world with her medical experiences while also giving them a peek into her soul. “Taiwan is like a diamond in Asia,” U.S. educator and the founder ( ) of “Studio Classroom,” Doris M. Brougham, said on Wednesday.

“The Diamond is very small, but diamonds shine all around,” she added.

Doris M. Brougham, who has been working in Taiwan for more than 70 years, gave a speech at the opening event of the exhibition ( ) “Foreigners Love Taiwan” organized ( ) by the Taipei City Archives on Wednesday at the West Benevent Square ( ).

Echoing ( ) the theme of the exhibition, Brougham, 95, said she has stayed in Taiwan for more than 70 years and recalled ( ) that when she first came to Taiwan, the land was still developing and many people were facing illnesses.

The veteran educator explained that “the great thing about Taiwan is that people are very willing ( ) to change and to learn.”

She added that Taiwan is a beautiful place and that although “there are many beautiful places around the world, the place is not the most important thing, the most important thing is the people.”

The 95-year-old who has dedicated ( ) several decades to English education in Taiwan amusingly ( ) shared that buffaloes ( ) could even be seen on Zhongshan Road when she first arrived in Taiwan.

She recalled that she learned to speak Mandarin, Taiwanese, and even some indigenous ( ) languages. Yet, she stressed ( ) that the most important thing is to be able to communicate no matter what language we speak.

And we all communicate with each other based on the connection that we are all part of this beautiful island, she remarked ( ).

Brougham ended her speech by stressing that Taiwanese people are very tolerant ( ), and those who have been here all agree that Taiwanese people are very friendly.

“No matter what languages we speak, we are all people living in Taiwan and we are all Taiwanese.”

The “Foreigners Love Taiwan’ exhibition will open from March 10 to April 8, between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

‘The exhibition features three major sections ( ): “Foreigners Who Love Taiwan,” “Sentiments Beyond 100 Years,” and “High-Five Love Taiwan,” featuring ( ) the stories of foreigners who have made selfless ( ) contributions to Taiwan, such as Mackay, Marjorie Ingeleiv, Robert Swinhoe, Sidney Barton and Marjorie Landsborough, Yoichi Hatta and more.

在台灣深耕超過70年的彭蒙惠於週三上午參加由台北市立文獻館所舉辦位在西本願寺廣場的「吾愛台灣－愛台灣的外國人特展」開幕式活動。

呼應此次特展主題，高齡95歲的彭蒙惠表示，自己待在台灣超過70年，她回想到剛來台灣時，這片土地還在發展中，許多人面臨著病痛，在二戰結束的大環境下，台灣相較於國外復甦的更快。

彭蒙惠直截了當地點出，「台灣最大優點就是人們非常願意改變、願意學習。」

她也提到，台灣是個美麗的地方，儘管「全世界有非常多很美的地方，但地方不是最要緊的，最重要的是人。」

彭蒙惠女士奉獻台灣英語教育超過一甲子的時間，她逗趣地分享道，在她初來乍到的時代，中山路上甚至還能看到水牛在逛大街。
她表示，自己不但會說中文、閩南語、甚至還會說原住民語，然而，不管講什麼語言，最重要的是我們要能溝通，而大家彼此之間溝通連結就建立在我們都是這個美麗島嶼的一份子。

最後，她強調，臺灣人包容度非常高，且來過寶島的人都一致認同台灣人非常友善。

「不管講什麼語言，我們都是住在台灣的人，我們都是台灣人。」
「吾愛台灣——愛台灣的外國人特展」即日起到4月8日早上十點到下午五點開放民眾前往參觀。展覽分為三大展區分別是「愛台灣的外國人們」、「超越百年的情感」、「High-Five愛台灣」，展出馬偕、白寶珠、斯文豪、巴爾敦、蘭大衛與連瑪玉、八田與一等等對台灣做出無私貢獻的外國人們的事蹟。

🔥🔥【拜登將台灣與北約、日韓並列】 昨天半夜開始，不少標題都報導拜登在ABC News的訪談中，對防衛台灣作出正面清晰表態。當時主持人是問（美方撤軍後）中國嘲諷台灣人「不能靠美國」，拜登提及（美國協防）「對北約、日韓、對台灣都是一樣的」。

ABC目前還沒有完整釋出全段訪談影片，這邊提供ABC官方逐字稿，補充中文翻譯在下方。由於訪談過程中，許多口語來回，有前後脈絡與細節背景，在翻譯處以括號補充。

這則訪問播出後，有美國官員表示，美國「對台政策沒有改變」（有緩頰意味，意指不會清楚表態），也有分析認為，這樣的說法可能當下的拜登口誤。

法國已經第二次的封城。。。
那我。。住在台灣，台灣的疫情管理非常成功。有一些新聞説台灣是世界上最成功管理疫情的國家。

我一直在問自己：爲什麽法國的政治的人，新聞，科學家都不在講到台灣？？台灣疫情管理世界上最成功！我們法國的媒體都在講國内的事情而已，偶爾在講鄰居的事情 （都是疫情管理不太成功的國家）。
爲什麽不要講到台灣？爲什麽不要學台灣怎麽成功的？？

我在這影片不會分享自己的意見，不是我的責任，我不是專業的一生。但是我想强調的是台灣做得非常好，我希望法國可以多研究台灣做了什麽，才可以成功！

France is already under the second lockdown to deal with the coronavirus.
In parallel, I have been living in Taiwan, which is in the top countries of the world for their handling of the epidemic. Actually a lot of media recognize Taiwan as being THE most successful country dealing with the epidemic.

For example this news from the Brookings institute saying that Taiwan is the first country in the world in term of success fighting the covid19 based on number of deaths X GDP growth in this period: https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/4046909

I keep questioning myself: Why are the French media, politicians and scientists not actively talking and studying about the different measures that Taiwan has taken to deal with the epidemic?
In France, we have a very self-centered media that only looks at our own struggle, or sometimes the neighbors, Spain, UK, etc, which don't do very well either.
Why aren't we constantly talking about how Taiwan is dealing with the epidemics? Why aren't we trying to learn something from Taiwan?

In this video, I will not give any particular advice on how to deal with the epidemics, because it is not my area of expertise. I just want to emphasize the fact that Taiwan has been doing extremely well, and I wish France would look into this seriously from now on.
