Remember the springy noodles and spicy chilli at Seng's wanton noodle in Dunman Food Centre? When two childhood friends brought over the business and recipe last year, they opened Wanton Seng's Noodle Bar at Amoy Street. Eating the wanton noodles I known for years in a hip and air-conditioned environment is rather refreshing. The noodles are thicker then what I remembered, and the meats are one level up. The slow cooked pork belly is thick and juicy; while the double roasted pork belly has a sexy crackling. As usual, wantons are nothing worth shouting about, and you may want to go lesser on the chilli as it may be a little too savoury. Oh, but the Gangster baby kailan braised in scallops and shiitake helps to cut the oiliness. How about a glass of cocktail to go with your wanton noodles? #instavideo
