黑池交易是傳統證券交易所以外的一種另類交易平台，由於沒有公開報價、買賣雙方資料等資訊，資金像是黑暗池子裡的水，因此被稱為「黑池交易」。黑池交易最大的特性是隱密性強，可以避免投資策略被其他人獲悉模仿，因而降低獲利，大受避險基金歡迎。黑池交易的最大問題是缺乏透明度，有心者利用這種黑箱操作的交易方式，容易衍生弊端。
