民主的英文是democracy，字頭dem代表人民的意思，字尾ocracy代表管理統治的意思。如果把字尾ocracy加上別的字頭，就會代表不同的統治體制，例如meritocracy就是具有merit的人來掌權，就是菁英統治。加上mob（暴民）就是mobocracy，如前陣子攻進美國國會的一群就被叫暴民。
