Sunset has a very calming power over me. Whenever I am agitated, cranky, or whenever I need to restore some sense of peace, I go to a place where I can relish a beautiful sunset. 🌅

It reminds me how beautiful the earth is even though the world may look ugly and bitter at times. It reminds me that life is greater than my crankiness and negative attitude. The things I am often agitated with are usually not even worthy of such attention.

Sunsets reminds me that all I want from life is to become content, and happy. And I am happy when I am watching sunsets.

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: I can not pin point the exact location, but this place is somewhere near Prague Castle. I was on my way to old Prague square from lesser town.
This is the beauty of European cities. Even an old lamppost can become a subject of awe. If I could dig further, I am sure even this lamppost may have plenty of stories to tell. ❤️

To understand its roots, the word opacarophile can be broken down into two parts: 'opacare' which is Latin for dusk or sunset, and 'phile' which is Greek for love.

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The Piazza San Marco is the only square in Venice which is called a Piazza. It is the lowest point in Venice at 90cm. When there is an acqua alta, it is always the first area to be flooded.

In this picture, you can see two columns, right? But there were supposed to be three columns! According to the original plan,three columns were delivered by boat to Venice in 1172. During the process of moving them from the boat to the shore, one column fell overboard into the lagoon. Currently, a team of researchers are looking for that third marble column. Who knows, may be in this lifetime we would be able to see this piazza with three columns! 😍

𝐓𝐢𝐩(𝐬): If you are someone like me, then try to visit here after summer. There were way too many people than pigeons in the square. I would rather have the pigeons. I could hardly take any decent picture because of the crowd. 🤦‍♀️
