I finally touched the pole again after stopping since I taught my last pole class in February. I taught for over 10 years always choreographing and thinking about my own students. I don’t think I ever took the time to enjoy it myself....

Yesterday, I took @marlofisken exotic pole flow workshop. I’m so used to having a set choreography that I seriously felt like I’d never touched the pole before. I came out of my comfort zone because 1) There was no choreography, it was all free styling and 2) I had to wear heels (which I haven’t touched for at least a year)...

I loved the class! Even if it made me feel like I had 2 left feet. I loved the fact that it’s more about feeling your body no need for tricks. Just dance! I’ve always loved that more than the tricks.....I set my focus on making each move slower and continuous in flow. This is very different from what I’m used to. Anyways, it makes me miss the pole and I think I’m ready to go back to it....
