慎防蔬菜類發物
但凡患有濕疹、瘡、疥、癬等皮膚病，長輩們都會苦口婆心叮囑不要吃牛、鵝、鴨、蝦、蟹、無鱗魚等食物，以免加重病情，這些食物中醫稱之為「發物」，發物有助邪的意思，是指能引起舊患復發、將新病加重的食物，患有暗瘡、濕疹、風疹、皮膚病或容易過敏人士要避免食用。以為多吃蔬菜就萬無一失？！其實蔬菜類亦有不少動風、助火及生痰滯氣發物，容易誘發皮膚瘡瘍腫毒，要小心留意，避免皮膚病發作。

常見蔬菜類發物：
茄子 — 為動風發物，性涼，有清熱活血，寬腸通便的功效，適合三高及有痔瘡人士食用。正因其性涼，脾胃虛寒易腹瀉，有皮膚病如濕疹或皮膚過敏、哮喘、癌症、紅斑狼瘡症患者不宜。

竹筍 — 為動風發物，性涼，具清熱化痰、利二便功效，由於筍含豐富纖維，所以具通便效果。惟注意竹筍容易透發或加重皮膚瘡瘍腫毒症狀，皮膚敏感、濕疹患者或容易出風癩者不宜吃。

菇菌 — 為動風食品，一般性平或偏涼，生長在潮濕陰暗處，屬於濕氣重的食物。

南瓜 — 為生痰滯氣發物，性溫，有補中益氣、解毒消腫、潤肺益氣、平喘化痰的功效，對久病後氣虛、乏力、便溏及脾胃虛弱尤其適合。由於屬性溫熱，本身有胃熱、濕熱、氣滯，及易有胃脹的人就要少吃。

芋頭 — 為生痰滯氣發物，性平，能健脾胃及化痰散結，適合淋巴腫大、婦女乳腺增生者服用。脾胃氣虛及有習慣性便秘等人士都適合。

洋蔥 — 為助火發物，性溫，具祛風發汗、行氣化痰、降血壓、降血脂功效，特別適合風寒感冒患者食用。便秘、發熱口渴、皮膚瘡癢、濕疹患者等不宜進食。

韭菜 — 為助火發物，性熱，具健胃暖中、溫腎助陽、散瘀活血功效，適合偏寒體質、陽虛怕冷、腰膝酸軟、男士陽事衰弱、尿頻人士；女士陽氣不足以致行經小腹冷痛食用。由於性熱，陰虛火旺者不宜食用。

薑 — 為助火發物，薑性溫，有發汗散寒、溫中止嘔的功效，對於虛寒體質如陽虛的人士尤其適合，可紓緩因風寒感冒而引起的怕冷頭痛、胃寒引起的胃痛，以及虛寒型經痛等症狀。

蔥 — 為助火發物，性溫，有發汗解表、健胃殺菌、通陽氣散陰寒的作用，能紓緩初起的風寒感冒、鼻敏感、頭痛、胃寒等症狀。體質偏熱、陰虛火旺人士不宜多吃。

蒜 — 為助火發物，性溫，具暖脾胃、行滯氣、降血脂、殺菌功效，適合感冒病人食用，能舒緩初起的風寒感冒、食滯等症狀。由於屬性溫熱，陰虛火旺、身體有偏熱症狀如口瘡、暗瘡、喉嚨痛者不宜食用。

Beware of vegetables that are stimulating
The elders will often advise young people not to eat beef, goose, duck, prawn, crab, and fish without scales if they suffer from skin diseases like eczema, scab, scabies, and ringworm. Eating these foods, they believe, can exacerbate the problems.

According to Chinese physicians, these foods can trigger pathogenic factors to react, causing a relapse of a pre-existing condition and, to a certain extent, might worsen the problem. Individuals with acne, eczema, rubella, and sensitive skin or any skin diseases should avoid eating them.

How about vegetables? In fact, there are certain vegetables that can also induce phlegm, stagnate the qi, and lead to heat accumulation in the body, triggering old wounds to relapse. To prevent skin diseases from occurring, we have to be extra mindful.

Common stimulating vegetables:
Eggplant – wind activated stimulant. Cool in nature, can clear heat and promote blood circulation, loosen the bowels to relieve constipation. Suitable for those with hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, haemorrhoids. Because of its cold nature, those with asthenic and cold spleen and stomach, those prone to diarrhea, skin diseases such as eczema or skin allergies, and those with asthma, cancer, and lupus should not eat.

Bamboo shoots - wind activated stimulant. Cool in nature, can clear heat and relieve phlegm and is healthy for urine and bowel movement. The high fibre content can relieve constipation. Please note bamboo shoot is a wind activated stimulant and can trigger skin sores issues so those skin allergy, eczema, and those prone to hives should avoid.

Mushroom - wind activated stimulant. Generally mild or cool in nature. It grows in a humid and dark place, and it has heavy dampness.

Pumpkin - food that induces phlegm and qi stagnation. Warm in nature, can replenish vital energy and strengthen qi, detoxify and relieve swelling, and moisten the lungs. It has healing effects to relieve asthma and decrease phlegm. It is especially suitable for those recovering from chronic illness with qi deficiency, those with loose stool and asthenic spleen and stomach. Although it is full of benefits and nutrients, pumpkins are warm in nature, so those with heat in stomach, damp heat, qi stagnation, or prone to abdominal bloating should avoid pumpkins.

Taro - food that induces phlegm and qi stagnation. Mild in nature, can strengthen the spleen and stomach and reduce phlegm. It is suitable for those with lymphatic swelling and eccyclomastoma. Those with asthenic spleen and stomach or chronic constipation can also have taro.

Onion - fire activated stimulant. Warm in nature, can dispel wind and promote perspiration, promote qi circulation and relieve phlegm, lower blood pressure and blood Iipids. It is especially suitable for those with cold-wind flu. Those with constipation, heat and thirst, itchy skin, sores on skin and eczema should avoid.

Chives - fire activated stimulant. Hot in nature, can warm the stomach, warm the kidneys and nourish yang, relieve bruising and promote blood circulation. Suitable for those with cold body types, yang deficiency, aversion to cold, weak and sore lower back and knees, men with frequent urination, insufficient yang qi that leads to abdominal pain. Due to its hot nature, those with asthenic yin should avoid.

Ginger - fire activated stimulant. Warm in nature, has the effects to promote perspiration and dispel cold, warm the body and relieve vomiting. It is especially suitable for those with asthenic cold body types such as yang deficiency, as it can relieve aversion to cold and headache caused by cold wind flu, stomach pain caused by cold stomach, and asthenic cold type menstrual pain.

Spring onion - fire activated stimulant. Warm in nature. Induces sweating, activates yang qi to dispel yin chill. Relieves early symptoms of wind-chill flu, nasal allergies, headaches, and cold stomach. Not suitable for those with heat-related symptoms, with yin deficiency and excessive internal heat.

Garlic - fire activated stimulant. Warm in nature, can warm both the spleen and the stomach, improve qi stagnation, and help relieve cold and flu at the initial stage. Nevertheless, individuals with heat related symptoms should not consume garlic, such as canker sores, acne and sore throat.

Look at the stocks you own. Can you tell me why you've got them? If you can't answer the following three questions, then have a look at several I like right now.

We've endured the meme stock craziness, with all of its love for heavily shorted stocks. We have watched the collapse of bitcoin to levels viewed as shocking, even if they are still more than double where they were not that long ago. We've dealt with Fed officials making it clear that they are no longer on the side of the bulls or the bears. They are on the side of job growth, but are wary of inflation. We've seen the end of the rush to get vaccines, which means that millions of people are going to get the new COVID variant, because there is no natural immunity to it. We've watched as the hopes for an infrastructure bill have collapsed. We've endured shortages of everything from chips to plastic to imported goods and labor.

And we're still standing, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yep, we are in one of those halcyon moments, where the masks are off -- even if they shouldn't be -- and Americans are back doing what they do best: consume, spend, go out to eat and then consume and spend some more.

There are times in the stock market where the collective mindset is revealed. This is one of those times: Things are cool, it's not a big moment, there's no real news for a bit, it's the historically strong period and we can reach some conclusions about where we are.

When things are like this, it is important to remember that buyers like to revert to tried-and-true companies that thrive no matter what. These are companies that have an edge and are better at what they do than other companies.

You know that I am a great believer in index funds, that the average person doesn't have the time or the inclination to research individual stocks. It's a difficult barrier. I think you need to make time to read the quarterly report and listen to the conference call, to Google articles and, if possible, get some research about the companies you own. It is vital that you know what you own, that if I asked you on the street why you like a certain stock, you can give me three reasons. If you don't know how they make their money, who their key clients are and what they make if, then I will tell you that you are over your head and should not own individual stocks. I am reminded by this, because, once again, without a mask, I can be recognized and if I am not holding "Nvidia the Second," I can carry on a conversation.

I have had many in the last two weeks and when I have asked this litany of questions, I find myself at a loss as to why almost no one knew what they owned. But they thirsted for individual stocks, because they, like me, think things are better post pandemic. No, that's not a facetious comment. Many, many stocks did better with a stay-at-home economy. A huge number.

So what do I do? I revert to what others do when you are stumped about how to stay in touch with stocks, but want to do less homework. That means buying stocks that are accessible, not stocks like Unity (U) or Snowflake (SNOW) or Twilio (TWLO) or Okta (OKTA) .

I revert to normal businesses people know and I suggest they Google some articles, peruse the conference call, but, above all, like the company's products so you can buy more if it goes down.

Here's some that I have been telling people I like:

First is Ford (F) . I think the Ford lineup is amazing. The electric F-150 series will be incredible. I am eager to get a Maverick for my family, because it is a smaller pickup that will get the job done for the myriad little things I need to do with this farm I bought from that crazy bitcoin foray. I like the competitive edge of the CEO, who says he is going to bury Elon Musk when the Lightning comes out. I even think the Bronco is cool as all get out. Most important, though? I think the chip shortage is ending. My semiconductor friends are telling me the foundries are producing more feature-rich chips and that means Ford can pump out the trucks small business people love and need. Plus, the used car prices at last have plateaued, according to their most important pricing index. Halcyon times.

Second, Costco (COST) : The samples are coming back. Tell me you don't love the samples. You need things in bulk. You want low prices. You want to get all of the things that people don't think of with Costco, like insurance, hearing-aids -- hey, they are a fortune -- jewelry, things around the house. You go and you will buy far more than you first came for. My kind of store.

The kids love this American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) , which we just bought for my charitable trust, which you can follow along by joining the Action Alerts PLUS club. Jay Schottenstein, the CEO, came on "Mad Money" recently and it's clear that his Aerie model has real staying power: 26 consecutive quarters of double digit growth. No flash in the pan, that one. Number one brand in jeans for the 15 to 25 year old group. The best in the mall. How did I know this? I see the credit card bills.

I got up this morning to do my physical therapy. I have been doing it ever since I hurt my back in February. I have this really cool pair of sneakers that fit me perfectly and I love them, but I am fortunate enough to have a vacation house and I am always taking those shoes with me.

So I went on Amazon (AMZN) this morning and lo and behold I saw them for half price. I bought two pairs. Then I went over everything I have bought in the last year and got a bunch of those things. Then I bought a pair of binoculars, because mine were stolen. I paid half price.

Yep, Amazon's universal. I was talking to Alexa, while I was ordering, getting some new music on, asking questions. I saw that despite all of the Sturm und Drang of Amazon being late with things, all the delivery dates were within range. I didn't click on any ads, and I didn't need the speed of Web Services, but the whole thing reminded me about how special the darned company is. I don't care if it's ahead or behind plan for the moment. I would just buy some more when it goes down.

Finally, Apple (AAPL) . I think people who don't own Apple should look what they are holding at this very moment. Yes, right now. Or look at what's in your lap or on the table besides your fork. And then think about the bill you paid last night without knowing it. Think about what you bought in the App store yesterday. Think about what would happen if it would break or get stolen or, left in the Uber (UBER) , or heaven forbid, be dropped into the pool or in the, yes, toilet.

There, that's what you buy in halcyon times. Stocks of companies you know that if they go lower, because things get less halcyon, you are fine with it and buy more. If things go up, believe me, you will participate.

So accept the moment. Don't try for the hard money. Go for the easy kind. That's the best kind.

我在表妹的臉書上看到這個計畫，追蹤了一段時間，細細閱讀過她某一片段的人生旅程。表妹是個才華洋溢的5/1顯示者，將這個計畫書寫得有聲有色。使我也動念想要回看，那些在我生命中經過、或曾佔有一席之地的人。這個計畫原始的初衷，很美：「當那些流逝的關係記憶能重新浮起，也許會在一片茫茫的人生大海裡，因明白生命曾停留過如此多數的人，而感到自己不是那麼孤單。」

是啊，即使封鎖，即使無常，即使會有更大的巨變，生命的流不會停歇。透過這個關係回憶的書寫，願你能回想起那些，曾與你一起嬉戲、橫渡、潛泳的人，他們或許改變你對於世界的觀點，也可能扭轉你原始奔流的路線，偶爾懷疑起日子波瀾怎麼這麼多的時候，別忘了，誰不是如此呢?你也許孤單，但不會一直落單的。

真真的名字和她的長相連不太起來，我的意思是，當我收下她的名片，以為站在我眼前的，會是白皙楚楚的鄰家女孩，頭腦裡響起珍珍魷魚絲、真正有意思的廣告台詞，稚嫩的聲嗓，名叫珍珍。

然而真真不是珍珍，真真渾身都有一種明豔的氣息，連音線都是鏗鏘的。蓬鬆棕褐的髮，可能曾經盛極一時，現在只剩下髮尾還看得出一點狂風浪捲的痕跡，換了其他人的頭頂著，叫秋風殘局，顯得破敗，真真卻當得起這樣的娉婷嫵媚，特別是邊說話邊把髮梢向旁撥攏的時候，髮叢裡面彷彿存在另外的大陸，雲深不知處。

如果當時再年輕個五歲，站在真真旁邊，我一定會生出自慚形穢的卑瑣心態。然後盡可能地祈禱不要跟這種人分派到同一組工作。因為漂亮的人，通常不怎麼會做漂亮的事。誰想跟著公主背後一路擦屁股呢。這種事情我已經幹得太多了。

幸好，那時我已不再年輕，真真是跨部門的同事，用不著我管。按照業務性質看起來，未來的交集也不會太多。我們行禮如儀，心裡速迅掂量彼此可能的份量，因為不確定誰會比誰先離開，誰都沒有先問起對方的Line和wechat。

真真是東廠的特助，我取這樣的代號，是因為那個單位，就像真真的髮際叢林一樣，雲深不知處，他們時常突襲稽核每一個部門的成效，用迅雷不及掩耳的速度，直搗你上上個月心存僥倖的疏忽。使人難堪困窘，繼而發掘各單位所謂真正的價值、還有缺失，只是他們眾多工作指標之一。可惜大部分的人，層級都沒有高到可以完整俯瞰東廠全貌的程度。所以我們虛與尾蛇，問東答西，作為聊勝於無的報復。

東廠的人，也長得十分雷同，除了真真。上班時間，真真有時候把捲髮鬆鬆盤起，但最常看到那些捲髮如同深海生物般地，綣棲在不同顏色和樣式的領緣，形成五光斑斕的風景。當她向任何人走近，那樣的風景使人幾乎無法抗拒，連我這麼不熱衷打扮的人，都曾忍不住向她探詢，這個海鷗頸鍊哪裡買，好好看。

真真盡可能地回答我們的問題，當然，她的回答也夾雜著她需要知道的問題。而很少有人覺得被利用、被探勘、被圈套。

說不上來我的心理是甚麼，我不討厭真真，但也不確定自己會喜歡這樣一個人。因為，在內心深處，我覺得真真的人格特質，比我更能勝任傳播與溝通的工作。而說到靈活交際，真真才是箇中能手，我這種皮笑肉不笑的三腳貓功夫，只能騙騙醉翁之意不在酒、同樣也求蒙混過關的對象罷了。

和朋友聊起來，她笑得前俯後仰，挖靠，你這是在忌妒嗎？至於嗎?心胸開闊點，自信點，少沒出息了。

在我心中，這已經不是甚麼「人正真好」的酸葡萄心態，而更接近唯恐「後浪推前浪」的黑色警鐘。偶爾真真從我身邊走過，我也會聽到不知道從哪裡發出的巨大聲鳴，一聲緊促過一聲。老實說，這比外貌的相形見絀，更令我感覺自慚形穢。

而我那時竟然沒有察覺，有人和我一樣，懷抱著巨大的不安與危機感，若無其事地和我一起工作。我從來不知道自己會帶給任何人攸關存亡的威脅，直到我被狠狠地剝奪資格。那是瞬息之間的事情而已，當人已經不在局內，才想通樁樁件件，原來已經埋伏預演了這樣久。甚至還來不及讓我產生任何挫敗或窩囊的感覺。一切都已經再也來不及。

底層的日子，我一樣在走道上、茶水間、電梯口遇見真真。真真總是微微向我點頭，不失禮也不多禮，如果我沒有開口，真真也不會主動對我說些甚麼。我並不意外，那一段時間，很少有人願意接近我，好像如此便會沾染上某些深不可測的噩運，我也和大家保持著距離，像一座行動的真空玻璃，人人都可以輕易地從各種角度穿越我，留下他們對我說不出口的憐憫、慶幸、淡漠、懷疑，然後揚長而去。

某一天，我被上級狠狠喝斥，抱著灰土土的卷宗出房門的當口，真真就站在門外。彷彿沒料到謾罵會這麼快結束，她的臉上還留著某種真實的表情。我想起來了，她回答我海鷗頸鍊的來處，「噓，別講，前男友送的。」那時，她的臉上就是這樣sisterhood的親暱，左頰上淺淺的笑窩彎曲成月一般的弧線，現任男友應該不知道吧，這個笑窩有時也窩藏著秘密。她笑得更深了，「有必要嗎?本來就跟他沒關係。這是我的東西。」

那一瞬間，我不知道該作何反應，窘嗎？在人前被斥責不是新鮮事，我早對羞恥免疫了。對那個情比姊妹深的表情，我反而先覺得渾身僵硬。真真的反應比我快，她收起了表情，用嘴型問我，「你老闆，現在紅燈？ok好，了解。我等下再來。」我點了點頭。那是我們最後一次交談。

我離開以後，有好一段時間幾乎忘了這個人。在新的工作安定下來，真真隨著舊事慢慢褪去。

我沒有想到會再遇見真真，在一個天還沒亮透的早晨。那是一個我們籌辦很久的新品發布會，細節繁瑣、環環相扣，因而格外起早前往會場準備，會場必須由馬路另外一邊的小門進入，等待換證的時間，剛好足夠我走進超商買一杯咖啡。

真真排在我後面，婀娜萬千的髮，剪成了服貼的清湯麵，我完全沒有認出她來，心思一直沉浸在等等要檢查的每一個節點，當店員把咖啡遞送給我，真真開口了，「妳還是喝這麼燙呀。Landy。」

我轉過頭去，一切使我想起《甜蜜蜜》最後一幕，男女主角久別重逢在電視前的劇情。我們時常誤以為，人和人的重遇，會是很磅礡的。其實大部分的再相見，都發生在日常和市井裡。我們走在差不多的街道、甚至不經意踩踏著相同的路徑，前後相隔不過幾分鐘的距離。有時，偏偏永遠不會遇見，有時，遇見了，也不代表可以像從前那樣會面。也許磅礡的部分，就在於明日又天涯的未知與必然吧。

真真變了，又像沒變，保有著我記憶中的波光瀲豔，而隨著歲月變得曖曖內斂。不知道她看我也是這樣嗎。

她說，「我都有follow妳呢，鼓勵我的朋友，都要去妳的夥伴時段。妳的每一篇文章，我都有看。」

2/4其實很不會面對這類的重遇，我既不擅長擁抱，傾刻間也只吐得出，「天啊真的嗎?」這種虛偽到爆炸的回應。

真真用同樣慧黠黑亮的眼睛回望我，「真的，Landy。看妳現在過得很好，我很開心。之前，沒有站到妳身邊back up妳，我覺得很抱歉。所以我用我的方式支持著妳。妳值得更好的待遇。」

過去…，過去的已然成為過去了，我對真真說，雖然我不能否認，我奮力工作，一開始，的確是為了想替當時的自己平反些甚麼。但慢慢地會發現，那些曾不公對待我的，只是鞋子裡的碎沙微塵，我唯一要做的，是把它們倒出來清空。而不需要證明我可以穿著一雙灌滿了碎沙微塵的鞋，走得健步如飛、平步青雲。

而，真真，在後來的一些工作情景裡，我也經驗過類似妳的角色。玲瓏圓融，與人為善，但面對組織裡失色的、被傾軋的角色，心裡總是不知所措。我時常問自己，我該怎麼做?好像別惹麻煩、必要時人云亦云就好。但這樣真的好嗎?沒有人比我更明白，被當成真空對待的感受。

所以，我從最簡單的開始，試著和那些人說話。不管他們做錯了甚麼、發生過甚麼，很多都是超越我的評判權限的，而每個人都值得被正視與珍惜。

我會和他們聊很平常的事情，就像妳問我咖啡還是喝得這麼燙呀。我也問他們，早上來上班塞車嗎？中餐你只吃這樣喔?早點下班吧，明天見囉。

真真，所以我想跟你說謝謝，你可能不曉得，我在你身上，看到了一些人性的掙扎，也完成了一些人性的學習。妳的名字，早已向我透露了最重要的事情，甚麼是真實?要如何才能活得真實?

我們不能只依賴自己看見的、別人告訴的，來定義或追尋真實。當我們膽敢向內觀看、向外解封自己的心，一切就會開始變得真實。
