There's not just one road to the destination, but many roads. You just need to take the little step that’s right in front of you, and then the next one, and a few years down the track, they will seem like massive achievements.

I didn’t meet my father until I was 6 years old. My parents had a comfortable, middle-class life in Shanghai, or as close as you could get under communism. But they always wanted to live overseas, and just before I was born, my dad came to Sydney to set things up. I don’t know why, but in the end, my mother and I didn’t join him until I was 6.

I ended up having to move school 3 times before I came to Balwyn Primary School, which was relatively multicultural.

After that, I did alright. Music featured very prominently in my life. I had started learning the violin from the age of 2.5 years old and even with all the troubles that were going on in my life, had somehow still kept up with it. As a result, I got a music scholarship to Trinity Grammar School. But even there I used to get into quite a lot of mischief, and would often skip school to go to the movies.

這是一首戀愛歌無誤。
還是一首會讓你聽了覺得也太甜了吧的歌曲，
Daniel Caeser表示他的靈感來自他的女友，
他當時跟女友住在一起，很窮，大概就是靠女友生活吧，
所以他當時寫了一首歌來詠嘆他對她的愛意，
還用了很多很漂亮的字來說明女友在他心裡的地位。
歌詞很美，描述著她怎麼讓他墜入情網、熱血沸騰，
那種字裏行間無可自拔的情感能讓聽眾深深的感受到Daniel對她強烈的愛，
而副歌"Who would've thought I'd get you"更是會心一擊，
有種微弱的自卑感，畢竟會說出這樣話的人，
應該是覺得自己配不上對方的吧，因此才會說大家會很驚訝你是我的女朋友那種說法。
所以聽起來會有種男方把女方小心翼翼捧在手心上，
捂著怕化了、捧著怕摔了，珍而重之的愛意。
此外，由於Daniel的聲線相當纏綿，像是對方在你面前（或耳邊）唱著歌的感覺，
配上這種歌詞，根本是戀愛殺招！
（女生要是聽到這種歌詞、聲音，不戀愛都難吧 XD ）
我給一個不聽R&B的人聽這首歌，
他馬上就說好聽而且還說他的聲音很sexy。
由於歌詞本身是男方對女方的獨白，
之前出版成單曲的時候是男子的獨唱，
但正式的studio version是有加入女聲的聲音，
這一版也很棒，有來有往的歌詞讓這段感情不只是單戀的空想 >//////<
基本上因為Daniel就是靠這首歌紅的，所以他也表現不下上百次（我覺得XD），
但我認為他這首歌在自彈自唱的時候狀況特別好，
有一版是他在Juno上面表演的版本，是帶著band演唱的，就沒有那種綿密的私密情感，
相反的自己自彈自唱有種脆弱從歌聲流露出來。

Daniel Caeser是加拿大的R&B歌手，外型跟一剛開始出道的Weeknd有點像，
但跟Weeknd路線不同（我好愛還沒大紅前的Weeknd，歌真的是每首都好聽），
年紀也很輕，今年不過22歲（1995年出生）。
首張專輯"Freudian"入圍今年Grammys R&B範圍的Best Album和Best Performance
要跟今年許多優秀R&B藝人爭奪這個獎項～
（今年R&B樂界出了好多超棒的歌手，不管是先前板友推薦的Khalid還是SZA都是，
而老將也不遑多讓，雖然跟他競爭的對手Bruno Mars相比我更喜歡Daniel的專，
畢竟Bruno的專就是一張披著R&B外皮的POP專才是，所以相比之下Daniel的歌曲
更加有意思。但是同樣入圍的Ledisi也很讚......）
總之，跟大家推薦這位很棒的歌手，雖然論知名度他比不上Bruno Mars，
不過他的專輯值得一聽，而且冬天天氣這麼冷，
身邊沒伴侶自己單身狗一隻就應該要聽這種會讓你熱血沸騰的情歌啊！
（說不定聽完會超想戀愛 XDDD）
