The kids had a rare chance yesterday to try out Batik painting, Chinese ink painting, do the Zapin, as well as learn about puppets and Indian dance gestures too.
Goodman Opens House takes place this Saturday and is free for all to attend. Held at Goodman Arts Centre, this year’s festival takes on the theme of “Music, Dance and Play” with a focus on participative music and movement performances for visitors of all ages.
With an array of open studios, workshops, Black Box Performances, outdoor performances, in studio Sessions, all day fringe activities, the whole family can look forward to a day of fun while supporting the arts. Goodman Arts Centre’s resident artists and arts groups will showcase over 30 different workshops and performances throughout the day from 11am to 5pm, so do hop by if you can. Goodman Arts Centre is just a short walk from Mountbatten MRT station Exit B.
It's a good chance for the little ones to learn more about artmaking processes and have some arty fun too, something that we don't do enough of in our daily lives.
