Having gone through childbirth thrice, I thought I had earned enough experience and gotten familiar with the whole process. Obviously, I didn't expect myself to be in for a surprise for this fourth baby of mine. Well, it turns out that life is unpredictable and you never know what tomorrow will bring.
We were still in the midst of Chinese New Year and since I was only 35 weeks along the pregnancy and had carried all my previous babies to full term, no one would have thought that our darling prince had made other plans and wanted to surprise us by arriving on the twelveth day of the Year of the Ox. For those who are eager to share more about how Ansel came into this world, here goes his birth story.
P.S. It's a very detailed and long post so bear with me as I jot down all the details to remember this day. Hope you will like reading this birth story of my baby!

#swipe to see more! RECIPE : I mixed @liloikanbilis scallop powder while cooking the rice so it has a darker color, with the fragrance of scallops. I also added a small amount of ketchup 🍅, just for a tinge of color to resemble #MickeyMouse. Using a pair of ✂️, I folded the seaweed and cut out a heart shape for the face. Using seaweed for the ears, I used a small piece of spaghetti stick to hold the ears in place. (Heat from the rice will soften the stick so it’s safe to consume) Using my seaweed cutter, I placed the eyes on the rice ball and back of one chopstick roll dip ketchup for the “cheeks”. ☺️

Happy Lunar New Year, everyone!
The celebration of the Lunar New Year will last till the 15th of January of the Lunar calendar. It's a very ridiculous story behind the scene...
其實這首看似很白癡的MV背後，其實發生了很多故事... 為了錄製這首牛歌，我們特地去找了馬來西亞有名的 #心音合唱團 來合作。結果由於歌詞內容太敏感，老師和學生家長不同意，於是我們改了好幾個版本的歌詞，在好說歹說下才終於答應。
就在錄音前，大馬疫情二度爆發，小朋友連練歌都不能聚集在一起，只好跑去不同家長的家練習和指導，偶爾老師還要透過視訊來教導他們唱歌。
歌曲在千辛萬苦下錄製完成後，我本來計劃11月份在台灣參加完金馬獎後就要回馬來西亞拍這支MV了。但大馬疫情有越來越嚴重的跡象，所以我們決定拖到12月才拍。
到了12月，我突然得知我被警方通緝了，由於不想回國被關在拘留所裡面集體感染。所以想到辦法做了一個很貴的人偶，打算寄回去馬來西亞跟小朋友們一起拍MV，我透過視訊做導演...
馬來西亞的同事花了很長時間到處找場地，開會，勘景，籌備，做道具，連小朋友的23套牛衣服都買了... 但萬萬沒想到！馬來西亞突然施行第2度的行動管制令，規定所有劇組不能拍攝，不能跨州。所以我們只好請馬來西亞的同事花了更多的錢把23套小朋友的牛衣服全部寄來台北，然後打算在台北找小朋友來演小牛...
在十萬火急之際，真的非常幸運 #天母小學合唱團 願意拔刀相助。於是這首歌不小心變成了兩國小學的合唱團的跨國合作... 然後在非常緊急的情況下我們也找到了位於 #貓空 的 #優人神鼓 願意借我們場地拍攝。真的太感動了... 感謝 #東森電視 和 #台北市觀光傳播局 的穿針引線促成了這個拍攝??????
當然，我也要感謝在台北的團隊 #堅持夢想文創，和參與台前幕後的每一位朋友的幫忙，讓這支MV順利完成。還有馬來西亞的同事，和製片團隊 #Cumdy-cumdy Production 以及每一位瞎忙了一場的攝製組夥伴們。祝大家HAPPY牛YEAR，2021一定要好起來！加油！
