.

First of all, this article is too long for me to translate properly @@
So I will summarize it short and please forgive my grammar mistakes 😅
.
I was in my alma mater, Kaohsiung Senior High School, to give a speech to the students.
I shared with them my philosophy of life and suggest them follow their hearts, live in the present moment, do not regret.
.
I told students who majored in music, to keep enjoy in music and to work hard with their beloved musical instrument, but be brave to quit if this was not what they did enjoy in. Maybe they were forced by the society, parents or anything. Now is the most early time to save the rest of theirs youth from such a burden.
.
I knew they did listen carefully, that’s why they asked me some questions.
Many of them got the same question, which made me astonished and a bit sad,
“Do you think being a dentist with high income is the key enabling you to be engaged in your hobbies?”
Does this question mean they believe one’s income is more important than what one is interested in?
.
I cared about this question so much for one week after the speech.
And I asked their teacher to pass on to the cute and young, and maybe perplexed, students as following,
.
1.I’ve seen many people who are happy and successful. They are devoted to what they love and get money for living from it. He or she might be rich or poor, upper class or lower class, depending on the definition of the society, but their contentment and joy cannot be defined.
2. There are a lot of people with high income. Take dentists as an example, is every dentist looking for what he loves? Or happy? Healthy? I find my happiness from my hobbies, that’s why I share this with you. Dentistry should be shared by some dentist who are enthusiastic about dentistry, not me. I shared my occupation to you only because you are facing the college entrance timing..
3. Money is a part of our lives, a little part of our lives. Not the whole life, and not necessary either. We are richer than many people, and at the same time, poorer than many people. I would rather compare myself with those poorer than me, because that makes me feel better, and feeling is the most important thing for a person. When I compare myself with those rich men, I am nothing, I can’t afford a villa, a personal airplane, a yacht.
If we have a lot of water, we can fill a big pot. If we have little water, we can fill a thin glass and reach the same height of water level, which represents the degree of contentment.
Make clear who we are, and take our responsibility, and enjoy what we deserve.
There are different people for different places, apartments, condominium, mansion, villa, however, the common point of them are being a nice and safe cozy home.
.
If you want to get on a cruise ship, you can earn enough money for the ticket or get the job as a waiter on the ship.
When I couldn’t afford the fee for equestrian class, I worked in the stable and took care of the horses for an afternoon to get the chance to ride the horse for half an hour
.
May you kind and brave, enjoy the life with no regret

Rain or shine, #FromAMother continues!
If there is one thing we should learn from our parents' generation, it is the strength they have built within themselves, through their life struggles. I kid you not, our parents are so strong that you can hardly tell if they're not doing alright. They don't sympathize themselves. Sometimes, I look at Maa standing under the scorching sun or under the rain during this project and immediately think to myself,
"do we sympathize ourselves too often?"
I have seen how parents & grandparents struggle and fight hard, without giving in to their mind. But we live in a generation now that encourages too much of self-sympathy and that immediately stops our growth, hardwork and effort.
We should be more empathetic towards ourselves, not sympathetic.
Sympathy - i am helpless, i am useless, i cant do anything, i feel bad for myself. Nobody wants to help me.
Empathy - what can I do to help myself? I am not going to sit here and do nothing about it! Who can I reach out to? Am I investing enough of effort into my life, and my actions?
Empathy is the way of life. We CAN. And we MUST. ❤

I’ve been receiving many DMs regarding SPM from my dear brothers and sisters from Malaysia. Many are panicking, worried, under lots of stress, and some of them are even facing anxiety attacks. Honestly, I wish I had the power to help each and every one of you. Unfortunately, I can’t. In fact, it would be highly unfair for me to criticise the decision made by the Malaysian Ministry of Education and start comparing SPM and UK GCSEs. So instead, I would like to reach out to each and every one of my dear brothers and sisters in Malaysia. Some of you have sat the trial. Some of you will be sitting the trial this week. And most of you think that you are still not ready for the real SPM which will be held soon.
The first step is to stop complaining. Secondly, you need to embrace the challenge and start believing in yourself. Trust me, time is too precious to waste by panicking and worrying unnecessarily. Use all the time you have left wisely by putting in 100% towards your studies. And above all, don’t forget to pray to The Almighty. If you have truly tried your best, have faith in God that He will give you the best in return!
You might say that it’s easier for me to preach since I’m not the one who’ll be sitting this exam. But trust me, even though I am younger than you, I’ve been through my fair share of challenges. My life has been a rollercoaster ride since my mother has been ill for many years. I am the eldest in the family, and my brother and sister are only 7 and 5 years old. My father had to juggle between home and work constantly. As the eldest, I had a big responsibility on my shoulders. Whenever my mother is gravely ill, I had to help take care of my little brother and sister as well as help to care for my mother too. And this has been the case for many years - not just this year or 2020, when the coronavirus hit us and the new norms started. This has been the norm for me and my family since forever.
And one of the biggest challenges I faced was when I had less than a month to study for the entrance exam to King Edward’s School, while other people had been preparing for at least two or three years in advance. I can still remember that all I did in that month or so was study and pray - and nothing else! But Alhamdulillah, with the blessings of Allah plus my hard work to achieve my goal, I didn’t just pass the exam…I was among the highest scorers! It was indeed a miracle, but also proof of just what hard work can do.
So if you are struggling and you think that your life is hard, stop and look around you. Each one of us has our own story and is struggling in our own way. But the secret is to never give up. You still have time, even though it may not be much, but you still have the chance to use your time wisely. I pray that The Almighty will make it easy for you in your studies and reward you for the work you put in. And don’t forget to thank your parents and your teachers and seek their blessings in these last moments before the exams. May The Almighty keep us all under His guidance…
Thoughts and prayers,
O. Mukhtar O. Mukhlis

For first-time viewers, welcome. This video's title was designed to be clickbaity to try to reach as many people as possible, but I hope that it provides some information for prospective customers out there who are interested in the services of Kumon.
For my subscribers, I wanted to give you a taste of my real job. I work at Kumon, an educationally-oriented, international company that hails from Japan, and have been involved in my parents' center(s), both as a student and now as a "Teaching Assistant," since I was five years old.

你也可以擁有不動幸福 YOU TOO CAN ACHIEVE PASSIVE HAPPINESS
...................................
Since our birth, we have never stopped pursuing happiness. As kids, we cheer when we get to eat our favourite food, play new toys and see new places. As adults, we chase love, career achievements and money.
However, there are some people whose Bazi are really nothing to shout about. When they are young, their academics are so so. When they grow up, they want money but they don't get it. They want a good career, but no, it didn't happen. They crave a good relationship but nah, they never have it. And the family they grow in couldn't give them the warmth in their lives either.
Hence, some of them place their hopes on having children they think belong to them. They envision that they can finally create a loving and warm family. That shall be their ultimate life goal. That is why people work so hard for, isn't it?
But what they didn't realise is that their Bazi were not able to support them in their pursuits. Their dreams and the reality they face every day become a stark disparity. As they have their own families, instead of having more happiness, they get more troubled.
Money still remains scarce, and the spouse turns out be an incompetent parent, causing conflicts and cold wars in the marriage over the children.
The children aren't any better off. Their health fluctuates, they are poor in emotional management, do not listen well to instructions. With both parents working, getting a good maid is necessary. Yet, this maid becomes another headache. Balancing both family and work starts taking a toll on them. Every day is a race against time. There's no living for yourself like what all those new age gurus preached. Worse is when they have no idea EXACTLY WHEN life will be better.
We can't change our Bazi. So as the Chinese saying goes, first is our Destiny, second is our Luck, third will be our Feng Shui. Whatever our Bazi lacks, the smart person will make up for it by using Feng Shui to supplement their own luck.
Don't suffer in vain, when a solution is actually within reach. In many situations, after the home Feng Shui is done right, many problems get resolved. Once this foundation is laid right, even when you are not actively chasing for it like a mad hamster, happiness will descend into your home by default.
So how exactly can Feng Shui give you a peace of mind? I talk about the 6 ways here in this video.

Hello guys ^_^
This video is so special to me and I got so emotional editing it. It would mean the world to me if you guys watch all of it. There is a reason I want to share this video with you guys. I want it to reach out to all of you guys out there. You will see why. It is a feel good video ^_^. The video is nothing to do with Beauty, Hair or Fashion but I felt the need to share this video with you guys and I hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I did filming it for you all =).
I finally got a chance to visit the island where my ancestors once lived. I will never forget this island and I will cherish my memories of this beautiful place that sheltered my loved ones.
I never got to meet my great grand parents but being able to visit my ancestors homelands made me feel like I knew them. The second I stepped on the island, I felt like I was at home.
I am so proud to be Hakka. I am so proud to be a Tsang. I am so proud of our island.
The reason I uploaded this video is because i wanted to share my adventure with you guys. It is not boring to learn about your heritage. It is precious. Be proud of who you are and who your ancestors were.
I realised how blessed I am when I visited Lai Chi Wo. I realised how we take things for granted and I finally see how hard my great grandparents/grandparents/parents worked in order for me to have a comfortable life.
The festival only happens every 10 years. Although island is mostly vacant now- proud descendants still come back to honor the island because it is our home. Hundreds of people fly thousands of miles to make it to this event.
What makes me sad is we don't know if there will be a next one. Even if there will be- alot of the older generation may not make it for the next one. What about is the Younger Generation (which is us)? Will we still care enough to make effort for this island?
I finally realised what a blessing it is to be able to visit my island. It is an eye opening experience that will be forever remembered in my heart.
I was born in United Kingdom and I never had a care in the world about my parents, grandparents, great grand parents home land but now I feel like the island is a part of me =) I hope you guys will be able to appreciate everything about your family. Even if you haven't met your ancestors- ask about them =). Visit the place. You won't regret it.
Much love,
Lindy Tsang
