My fav wanton mee in Singapore. Been a fan for nearly 20 years. Their char siew is impeccable but is very hard to get as it is sold out within 2 hours. But, I like their noodles even more - thin like Hong Kong egg noodles, QQ and they use an aromatic sesame oil, soy sauce and lard blend. Michelin guide found them this year when they ventured to Singapore's west.
Have you seen a two-signboard hawker stall before? Uncle Lee's Hong Kong Noodle & Rice's 2nd signboard is used to alert customers every time an item gets sold out for the day. Come before 2pm to get a taste of their Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Wanton Noodle!
The chicken flaunted the mellow flavours of soya sauce and went really well with the flavourful rice and appetising homemade chilli. Don't miss out of the Wanton Noodle too! The smoky sweet char siew was extremely tender while the wantons were delicious as well.
