Guess who’s back! I’ve been on a social media detox for these past few months for a multitude of reasons - helping out Mr Dad and Mrs Mom with our new home renovation #TheOldForgeCottage 🏡 as well as focusing on my studies for my final exams.

But now I’m back! And no, though it may seem like it, I’m not making my debut as a singer (…yet 😉). This is just a special request from my auntie ilurvesugar for her birthday. Fun fact: she and her husband actually share the same birthday - 6th July! Seems like it’s definitely a match made in heaven, huh?

Hope you all enjoy this lil’ musical treat from me as a birthday wish for my lovely aunt. Masi and Uncle Muhammad, may Allah grant you both many more happy and healthy years after this and grant every wish of yours…Aameen 🤍

This is another son of mine which my sister Ilurvesugar Cake gave birth to but luckily he loves me so so much! Hud is barely 4 months old...and we’ve never met...but he is sooo attached to me and never fails to video call me every day all the way from Malaysia. He can’t get through a day without talking to me - bless him! And I am truly blessed to have a super clingy nephew who loves me so much! Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for your countless blessings...🥰

This is one special episode of #SundayWithAdam hence I took the opportunity to say a little something about this video of Nasi Goreng Kampung in particular, just to reminisce about those good old times with my brother, Adam @adamdidam. I watched this 15sec video for the first time after so long. I watched it with a tender smile. I smiled, for my mind could still recall every single time when my brother was still around. I smiled, for my eyes could still see him smiling at me. I smiled, for my ears could still hear his voice calling my name. I smiled, for my hands could still feel his warm touch. Yes. This is a tender smile from an eldest sister dedicated specially to her brother whom she loves so dearly ♥️

Mamajee @adamdidam started #SundayWithAdam 4 years ago, on 25th January 2016 with only a 15-second video! But, it has sparked so much inspiration and new ideas since then! Since the first time Mamajee made that video of Bualoy (our family’s favourite Thai dessert), we all saw his talent. Mamajee put in so much hard work to make #SundayWithAdam happen, and looking back, it was definitely worth it. These cooking videos, this passion of Mamajee, not only did it bring joy to him, it brought wisdom to so many other people too! 4 years on, Mamajee is no longer with us, but there is no doubt that he will continue inspiring people for years to come - InshaAllah! On the 4th-year anniversary of #SundayWithAdam, I pray that Allah showers his soul with love and mercy. May Allah reward him for his good deeds abundantly in the hereafter. And may we all be reunited again in Jannatul Firdaus…Aameen ?

Today, Dadajee and Dadijee are sharing a very special recipe - Man Tom Khing (sweet potato in syrup with a hint of ginger). This is one of the famous desserts in Thailand, commonly eaten to keep you warm during the rainy season. And you can’t possibly learn how to make it better than from Dadijee - our Queen of Thai Food! This is a very simple, quick and easy recipe. Plus, it has been proven to be irresistibly tastylicious by our little Nuh @ilurvesugar. Nuh gave it his mark of approval - not one, but two thumbs-up!
