As the pandemic has reached another peak, the government has postponed the Legislative Council (LegCo) Election for a year and sought Decision of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress (NPCSC). Current LegCo members are to be appointed by the NPCSC for an extension of their terms of office. As discussions continued and fermented, no consensus has been reached over the stance on accepting or declining the foreseeable appointment. HKUSU has organised the event for the guest speakers on both sides for a debate on the matter. Details are as follows:

This is the beginning of Hong Kong, I discussed last time if you guys remember, they (The Councils) just told me right now but this is just the beginning of Hong Kong to fight for its freedom and it’s a lot more to come because the new Generation they said is going to gain its freedom. Because basically, the same, like you are going to project it if you don’t get into fear. So you turn around no matter what happens, you’re always going to have food, help, and situation that will end up in a positive outcome for you, no matter what happens.
