Wood-fired oven baked Banana Cake and Butter Cake all the way from Johor Bahru!!

Soft and moist, these famous cakes are made every day non-stop at Hiap Joo Bakery & Biscuit Factory in Johor Bahru with their wood-fired oven. Using specific type of Berangan banana in their secret recipe, the traditional oven made the cakes taste differently good, which I like it a lot 😋

Containing 10 slices of cakes in each box, the Banana Cake is priced at RM20 for 1 box and RM36 for 2 boxes, while Butter Cake is selling for RM24 for 1 box and RM45 for 2 boxes.

1 tbsp sugar

500g minced chicken

½ tsp ground dried sage
½ tsp coriander powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
4 slices cheddar cheese

煎糕秘訣大公開

材料：
年糕
雞蛋2隻

烹調：
1. 年糕，切開一片片。
2. 雞蛋，打勻。
3. 中火在鑊中燒熱1湯匙油。
4. 放年糕落鑊，糕與糕之間留有空間。
5. 一面煎至金黃色，反轉另一面，轉慢火，直至兩面都煎至金黃色。
6. 倒蛋漿落鑊，轉中慢火。
7. 雞蛋已煎香，逐件反轉。
8. 轉大火，煎至雞蛋兩面都金黃色，上碟。可享用。

Pan-fried rice cakes:

Ingredients:
Rice cakes
Eggs 2 Nos.

Steps:
1. Rice cakes, cut in slices.
2. Eggs, beat well.
3. Heat up oil 1 tbsp at medium flame in wok.
4. Put rice cake into wok. Leave a gap in between.
5. One side has been fried into golden yellow. Flip over, turn to low flame, continue to fry the rice cake into golden yellow as well.
6. Pour egg syrup in wok. Turn to medium~low flame.
7. Egg syrup has been fried well. Flip over the rice cake one by one.
8. Turn to high flame, fry until 2 sides of rice cake has been turned into golden yellow. Put on plate. Serve.
